Whilst the food was nice, the service was awful. We had to keep asking and chasing for things, tell them again and again what order was and wasn't ours, chasing for things like tap water. Not enjoyable. We won't be going back which is a shame as the food is pretty good.
Excellent quality food ! Would definitely recommend ! Book in advance, as over the weekend it gets very crowded. Would like to come again in the very near future.
I've been twice now to Kitcho and I love the food but it is too expensive so I can't go as often as I would like. It's just up the road from Greenwich Picturehouse and the only good restaurant in Greenwich, which is full of tourist traps serving poor quality food. The Kitcho menu has lovely starters - e.g. wasabi prawns - delicious perfectly cooked prawns in light batter with wasabi mayo. Mains are also lovely, hot and filling. But the stars of the show are the fabulous sushi and sashimi, prepared by Japanese sushi chefs. Really very good. It has a nice atmosphere but they need to do up the loos to match the high price tag.
Not bad but not entirely authentic Japanese taste . good service sushi was average and dishes lacked depth and seasoning . good attempt but could improve.
Nice hidden gem located within walking distance of Deptford and Greenwich train station. Food was good fare. The highlight being the Stir fried beef in spicy sauce which was literally melt in the mouth soft. The Sparkling Sake goes down very well although I suspect it contains ALOT of sugar. The service was a tad slow but the staff were friendly and the bill was very competitive for japanese cuisine. I'd go back.
The food was good, the service was slow. There were several waitresses walking around and it seems they were a bit confused what to do. Also different people served our table.
Great restaurant, fantastic food, friendly staff. The menu is vast and everything we had was amazing. Really loved this place and will definitely be back
Food was excellent and the service too. It is obviously very popular as a takeaway service too judging by the number of collections that took place during our meal.
Great food. The sashimi and black cod were particular highlights. Do try the sparkling sake too. Will be back for more. Great value for money too.
This a very good restaurant but slightly slow at busy times we have eaten here several times and spend around £200 inc wine and service for 4 best dishes are Ajiban sashimi dragon maki & crab tempura . The wine substitute was French Sauvignon blanc @£25 which went well with the meal. Will return.
Lovely sushi and sashimi presented beautifully. Just when we were getting hungry all the platters appeared and the service was really friendly. Nice wine too. Certainly will go back if in south London again.
Great food, decent service, my favourite sushi place in town. I have been going now for years. The fish is always fresh and the food never disappoints. Best kept little secret of Greenwich
The kitchen was on the second floor, so staff were running up and down the stairs to serve food. Yet, the service was slow service and the staff were inattentive. Food was ok and reasonably priced. The sushi wasn't made with Japanese rice.
This is a great little restaurant. The food is amazing as everything is so fresh... and the staff are really friendly. I would highly recommend Kitcho.
Very friendly people with a great selection of Sake. The Sushi/Sashimi, tepenyaki and udon and ramen noodles are all top notch. Their wasabi prawns are fantastic. I eat here regularly.
A fabulous restaurant for anyone who loves Japanese food. Good selection of wines and excellent service. It's a little bit off the beaten track from Greenwich Village but well worth the 10 minute journey.
Amazing food, stunning presentation and poor service. Had to wait for 40 minutes to be served but the food was worth the wait and tasted spectacular.
Waited 30mins even though I booked... Someone had seen my name on reservation book and used my name. However, food was excellent staff were apologetic. Service was great. Will go back.
A very friendly restaurant with excellent food and lots of choice, service was a little chaotic but maybe it was a bad night., would certainly return
Excellent place with friendly and helpful staff! Very genuine sushi at a pretty reasonable price! The place is a gem, booking my third visit now.
This is probably the best Chinese run Japanese restaurant I've visited. The food is always fresh and the staff are very friendly. It was particularly busy the last time we visited; but the staff are always happy to help.
Really delicious food with a wide selection on the menu! Only lost a point as we still had to wait 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation! However the staff were very lovely and we had a lovely meal overall, thank you.
Amazing as all the past visits! One of the best Japanese restaurant in london. I visited this place many times in past couple years! Must visit
Outstanding food! Some of the best Japanese food in London in my humble opinion. This place makes up for not looking exceptional on the outside by the quality of what it provides.
The food was delicious, the service was charming and although the restaurant was busy, the general ambience was peaceful and quiet. I don't even know what we ordered - we tried a variety of dishes and they were all splendid. I do remember one dish ; it was prawns in a very light batter with a delicate wasabi mayonnaise. Splendid.
Fantastic food and great service, as ever. Kitcho sashimi was delicious and the ebi tempura was just right. Friendly service and they even served up cake and ice cream for my son's birthday. Great night.
Service on Valentine's Day was very slow. 45 min for drinks and about 3 hours to eat all our courses. 30 min waiting for the bill ask twice, but the Food was delicious.
The food at Kitcho is absolutely fabulous. Since the move from the centre of Greenwich, they're a little bit further down the road in Greenwich High Road but it's well worth the effort making your way there. Magnificent choice of Japanese dishes with helpful staff on hand to advise what is what! If you're a fan of good Japanese food then a visit to Kitcho is a must!
What a dreadful place. Went here because of good reviews....the service was slow and when it came the ramen was flavourless. It was such a shame as the starters were great and being offered a complimentary dish got us an extra starter but Christ alone only knew the lady would tell us to choke and f*** you??? All because she charged us for The complimentary starter and proceeded to tell us we were lying and pointing her finger. I have never been so humiliated and always have remained calm and also speak to manager to which I was told no no manager I will not get her here she has a family it's her time to rest. Disgusting service
The food was Amazing and we were well looked after by the staff. They providided a friendly atmosphere and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it.
Staff and food was very good my first time eating this style of food my daughter loved it it was her birthday meal presentation was excellent
Outstanding food, delicious and beautifully prepared. If you love Japanese you have to come here. Sometimes takes time to get service, but the food and drink then flows!
This is a little gem. Authentic japanese restaurant with friendly staff amd good service. We are vegetarians, so they adapt dishes to be vegetarian for you on request. We use it regularly and have never been dissappointed. Limited seating so do prebook your table!
Delicious food, reasonable price. Really fresh sushi. The menu is really extensive with lots of options covering noodles, rice, sushi etc. We tried varied dishes and all were very good.
Great food, but the place was cold that I had to sit in my coat.works on the interior needed urgently. Not a nice smell when you get in. So really I will not have food there again just maybe take away.
Good atmosphere and a great range of options on the menu. Close to home for us, but right nearby the DLR stops Deptford Bridge and Greenwich, as well as bus stops, which make it very easy to get to. Prices were reasonable for London, but not great.
Food and service were both outstanding. Japanese food that tastes Japanese. It was the first time for us to go there, definitely not the last.
Fabulous Japanese food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. It's a short distance from Greenwich Town Centre but well worth taking the walk, I totally recommend it - especially the wasabi prawns which were delicious.
I struggle to find good Sushi places in the are so was not sure what to expect. It was a great restaurant with brilliant food, a real hidden gem.
Amazing food and staff. I have already been recommending to all my friends. The bar with it's drinks selection looks amazing and even though we didn't get a chance to try the sakes this time, I can't wait to do it next time. This is my new favourite local restaurant
