Delicious, authentic Indian fish courses with sauces obviously made with best spices and ingredients. Even the breads and rices were top class. Highly rated for real Indian, subtle, delicious cooking.
Great prawn curry i have 7 words more to say
Delicious, subtle use of spices, and beautiful presentation. Just the kind of fresh and light Indian food I like.
Had such an amazing experience. The food was sooo good and full of flavour. Highly recommended. Great service as well.
Amazing food, so different from any Indian food we've had before
Excellent food & good service. Oddly quiet for a Saturday night but we were happy with that.
Great food. Nice ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.
Table booked for a birthday lunch on 30th May at 1pm. Confirmation received through Quandoo. Arrived at restaurant on time but it was closed. Tried to call but no answer. No sign on door to advise why not open. Birthday lunch ruined ........ thanks !
All good. Food was tasty, service was friendly. Would return.
Very good. This was our first visit, we will go back. We can recommend the prawn curry and chicken chetanadu.
Tasty food and pleasant atmosphere. Deserves spending time there. Not really the place for a pit stop before the theatre
Food was amazing fish and sauces were the best will definitely return
No atmosphere as only a couple of tables in on Friday night. Food very average, starters of squid, softshell crab (£11) both deep fried but cold, sea bass with potatoes drowned in two powerful sauces also cold. Fish mains came in plates of sauce tasted the same though supposed to be very different.Nice elements were side salad and nan bread. Wine ok and reasonable price, service good, overall cost high for what we had.
Great Restaurant, ideal central location, amazing food, lovely staff! Really enjoyed it!
The food was great but the service was poor and slow
Fantastic flavoursome food in a fine dining setting. Next visit can't come soon enough.
We loved the food and were lucky with out timings for service. 3 tables of 4 and one of two arrived about 10 minutes after us and I got the feeling their service was very slow. Would definitely go back and are deciding which friends to take.
Excellent food - beautifully spiced. Very good value for money
Excellent Indian cuisine. Not too heavy and perfectly spiced. The staff were so attentive and welcoming.
Nice restaurant in a good location. I had the tandoori chicken. It was overcooked and very dried up.
Lovely hostess and helpful waiter. Brilliant food! All round, excellent.
Excellent authentic meal staff very good also - many thanks.
Lovely helpful staff. Food delicious - light and flavoursome and very satisfying. A good experience.
Our first visit and we eat in Indian restaurants virtually every week. Thiowas a truly wonderful meal.
Quick service. Polite staff. Delicious food. Will visit Konkana again.
early dinner on Friday night. Excellent service and food. Highly recommended.
This would have been a six. The food was fantastic, the staff so nice but unfortunately not enough of them, so the wAiting to order and get your food was very long. The food was delicious, beyond expectations, and the staff gave us free deserts and money off a taxi home for us as we had waited so long. We will definitely go again and hope they have sorted their staff shortage problem by then. You should definitely try it, don’t let the waiting put you off the food is worth it !!
A very enjoyable evening. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and pleasant. despite being a man down.
Limited choice, lamb not tender, service slow, wouldnt go back again
Excellent restaurant with a contemporary feel. Beautiful menu with a friendly touch. Good work Koncana
Food and service was nice . The lamb was not great.
Lovely place, lovely food, lovely waiter. The restaurant was very quiet regarding diners so not sure what service would be like if busy. The one unhappy point was that like so many restaurants now, there were no soft furnishings to soften the noise. Very difficult to hear especially with hearing aids.
Beautiful restaurant, service was great. Starter was lovely and my husband's main of salmon curry was awesome. Maybe I just made the wrong choice. Crab curry & I am still to find any crab in the lovely sauce. There were a few shrimps but quite disappointing, sorry.
Nice surroundings and staff; food average with little difference between dishes. Three different starters were identical except for the main ingredient.
We dined here on my husbands 70th birthday with other family members. Everything was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They took photographs for us. We all loved the food. Delicious!! Highly recommended.
Superb food by an astonishing chef. It is almost impossible to find seafood of this quality anywhere.
Attended as a birthday celebration with my girlfriend. Excellent meal. Have had fish curries before in India (Goa). Very authentic and tasty. Would have preferred a little spicier for my pallate but not a criticism. Girlfriend loved her meal. Portion sizes sensible - we had starters, main meals each, one rice and 2 naans. Cost about in line with other Indian restaurants. Will visit again Thanks John (and Nik)
Good food with attractive presentations. Please double descriptions - jablum being described as a donut is questionable. I like spice and foods were flavoursome but was too strong sometimes for fish. A spice level on the menu is recommended
The soft shell crab was frozen and tasted terrible and was full of water. It was no worth £11. They had no onions for some reason...
Lovely meal and great service. The menu is refreshingly different with a great choice of dishes. The starters were beautifully presented (although could have been slightly warmer) and were a real treat. The main courses were also excellent.I will definitely return to try more of this wonderful food.
Food was tasty and well presented. Service was quick and attentive. Portions were quite small and nan very thin. Overall good but pricey for portion sizes.
Absolutely delicious from start to finish, the sea bass starter and crab whole meal I had were full of flavour and spice, and everything the rest of my companions had (that I tried) was amazing too. Waitstaff were also lovely and attentive. Highly recommend this wee hidden gem, I will be back!
Innovative and flavoursome dishes. Friendly service. Indian Restaurant with a twist. . The fish was cooked to perfection. Indian white wine was also surprisingly good. Well worth a visit
Fabulous choice of fish and seafood starters and mains. Beautifully fresh ingredients with interesting flavours and additions. Will be back to try more of the menu.
Great food and service. Definitely worth a visit if you like fish and seafood, and spicy food. My husband and I both really enjoyed it.
Party of four all had different starters and mains. Food was excellent and well presented by our friendly and efficient waiter. Surprised it was so quiet as this restaurant lived up to expectations in providing well cooked fresh fish dishes in delicious sauces. Well done.
As usual the food quality was very good although the portions appeared a bit smaller than previous occasions! The service was excellent from a new young waiter. Once again the restaurant was relatively quiet. This is a good place that is definitely worth a try!
Lovely place to enjoy something different! Food was great and so where the staff! Loved the twist on Indian food with seafood it was lovely! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a slightly different twist on a usual Indian
Food was just ok, some fish dishes were bland. Ambience is poor and the loo was very dirty. Overall only few dishes were a hit.
Excellent food and attentive service. Disappointed that the soft shelled crab wasn't available but this was due to poor fishing conditions. Surprised that it wasn't busier at 7.30 on a Friday evening.
