About La Bodeguita

La Bodeguita is a pioneer restaurant in London’s Latin American dining scene, tripling up as a shop, restaurant and deli in the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre. There’s room for about 150 people at La Bodeguita, where tapas, meat and fish dishes, Colombian coffee, South American wine and beer, and cocktails keep the party going until the early morning over the weekend.

Further Information

La Bodeguita has been serving up a South American experience without peer for over twenty years. Located in the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, right by the station, La Bodeguita is an easy destination for anyone in London looking to live it up Latin American style. A packed schedule of live music and entertainment is a major draw, but there’s plenty of lively food and drink to match. The focus is on Colombian culture, but dishes from across the continent are represented on La Bodeguita’s tapas and a la carte menus.

From La Bodeguita’s tapas menu, Colombian highlights include chorizo y arepa, spicy Colombian sausage with cornbread, and Colombian empanadas, best washed down with a jug of sangria. For carnivores on the prowl in southeast London, the medallones Bodeguita and the churrasco Argentino are two Argentine beef dishes that are sure to satisfy, while the cazuela de mariscos, a seafood stew served with rice and fried green plantain, is a highlight from the selection of fish dishes. If you find yourself hankering for more than just an evening of South American food and fun, you can always drop into La Bodeguita’s shop or deli – this love song to Latin American culture in the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre is also one of London’s most beloved outlets for homesick South Americans looking to stock their kitchen with delicacies from their home turf.

Great food and very pleasant staff. They forgot to serve our starters but that was resolved quickly. They provided us with a free desert because of this. Would recommend this place.
