La Mama Sheffield

The food was really excellent. Lots of choice including for vegetarians and very deliciously prepared. The atmosphere was cosy and intimate. The waiters were friendly and efficient. However, the experience was a little let down by being too noisy. It is good of course that the restaurant was so popular and the atmosphere was good but a few large groups were rather loud and the tables a bit closely packed. It was my friend and my second visit; the first time being quieter. I will definitely go again though perhaps not on a Friday night.

Great food, i think the best tapas ive had other than in spain! Staff were lovely and very accommodating even though we were half hour early for our booking! It was Saturday and there was a guitarist which i really enjoyed and added to the atmosphere. The restaurant is quite a small place and looked bigger on pictures that we looked at before so tables are quite close together but it wasnt uncomfortable and too 'packed in' all in all a great evening and lovely food, we will definitely be back.

The food and drink are always so good at La Mama. It's atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We discovered that with our loyalty card we would get free food on our next visit. I feel so lucky to have such a good restaurant within 5 minutes walk of where I live. The variety of tapas can cater for all tastes including vegan and all sizes of appetite.

Lovely friendly staff. Great selection and tasty food with amazing fresh flavours all served at a good pace. Drinks flowing without having to wait to ask for another. Only thing we missed was a free bottle of wine as we were celebrating to birthdays which I mentioned when booking but forgot the promotion until the way out

Arrived to a warm welcome and a free bottle of wine for the birthday guest. The food was fabulous, the service excellent and a wonderful friendly and authentic atmosphere. A great evening.

We have been to La Mama several times & it is our favourite tapas restaurant, not just in Sheffield. Great food & variety of dishes. Everyone we take is always impressed

Always a great place to visit for tapas. Good variety of dishes, I particularly enjoy the ceviche. I think the combo of Spanish and Latin American food works really well. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and lovely staff.

The food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. We loved the additional live jazz player and staff were very friendly. The food is reasonably priced and full of flavour. I would definately recommend this little gem to anyone looking for quality Spanish food.

Travelled from Lancashire en-route to the Arena. We weren’t expecting too much when we arrived in the area. The food was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The food was incredible - every dish was packed with flavour. The tapas happy hour was excellent value! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant atmosphere was perfect for tapas.

This place is lovely! The food, the staff and the lay out are all fabulous! It is a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. I will be going back again.

Absolutely faultless. Service was second to none. The server was both attentive and welcoming. Experienced in the menu and was able to make excellent reccomendations. The food was outstanding. Each dish (eight in total) was cooked to perfection and well balanced. The passion for each dish was translated straight from the cook to the plate. Price was cheaper than anticipated and extremely good value for money.

Lovely little restaurant serving a wide range of Spanish & South American tapas. Attentive, friendly service, even when full on a Saturday evening, and really great food. Will definitely be going back.

Great tapas which were really tasty especially the chipirrones .Friendly service and good choice for vegans even catering for vegans with a moorish vegan chocolate cake .

Came to celebrate my partners birthday. Great tapas with friendly service! Tried many of the dishes (good variety) but the lamb dish was incredible, would definitely visit again!

A bit disappointed. 3 for £15 Tapas Happy Hour only on a select few of dishes. 6 dishes for £34 - some definitely better than others. May be a better experience later in the evening when more people there, but don’t think we’ll go back to find out. 5 prawns £7.50.😕

Great restaurant with a lovely tapas menu. Good range of drinks to choose from, but the pisco sours were amazing. Attentive and polite staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend it.

Menu was limited. Calamari was really chewy and chicken was on the bone. Restaurant decor was lovely, and staff were fine. Just limited food options let it down.

Brilliant all round! Party of 6 for family gathering, great variety of fabulous dishes, superb service. Great party atmosphere, but still able to chat. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely food, cosy atmosphere and friendly amd helpful staff. We had seven tapas between two, each one thoroughly delicious. Beef empanadas, oven-baked hake and green beans with pine nuts were our particular favourites. Would definitely recommend!

Really good dinner at La Mama's . scored 5 instead if 6 purely because we were a little late to our table and one of the things we ordered had run out - but neither of these things detracted from a good evening. bustling little restaurant, friendly staff, thoroughly recommend.

Great tasting food! Shame about having just one wait staff though. Owner should think about having more than one wait staff even on a Saturday lunch. We're hoping it's better next time we visit.

Great food. Great staff. Another enjoyable evening. We went on a terrible snowy evening but once we entered, we were cosy and warm eating amazing food. The only challenge is choosing a few dishes from the 20 or so that you want to eat.
