Really good value Early Bird menu served this evening, a Tuesday, until 10.00pm. Excellent value at 14.99 for three courses. Good choice of starter and dessert and an excellent list of main courses to choose from. All the food was well presented and generous in portion size for a set price menu as often portions can be a lot smaller when these offers are on. Drinks not over priced either. A really pleasant evening. Only critic was the music playing while dining which was a little loud. Expected Pavarotti to appear any moment!

Lovely lunch good choice good price will definitely go back service excellent in fact no downside to this restaurant but everyone can improve so don’t get a six

Had a lovely experience when my boyfriend and i went for an evening meal on a friday apart from the meal being totaly amaxing from starters mains and pudding all excellnt the service was brilliamt... and the staff made the whole evening a pleasure very welcoming and friendly i would highly recommend

Service wasn’t upto scratch Food was fine, bottle of wine ordered but never arrived at the table, however it did appear on the bill, service has been much better on previous occasions

Everything went very well. It is a great restaurant. The place is very clean, well laid out and the staff are all very polite and pleasant.

Overall the Food was amazing and most of the staff where very friendly. Very fast service and food was hot. Lovely will come again. I would of give 6* Rating but one staff member was very rude, when we asked for some drinks he huffed like he couldn't be bothered. My Mother in-law then said to him the food was lovely and he just blanked her, didn't interact with any of us. We also saw him do this to a couple of the others around the restaurant.

A lovely birthday meal for my son. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Good selection on the menu so something for everyone. The early bird menu is excellent value. Would highly recommend.

Warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent food. The manager came Over and spoke with us made us feel very welcome. Great place would deffo go back.

Wonderful food, extremely polite staff and a warm and relaxing atmosphere. La Scala is our favourite restaurant in the bolton area. I would definitely recommend.

Gamberoni was not like it used to be. It was in a chilli sauce which was just like the dipping sauce from the Chinese. Also the tirimisu portion was small. We went for our anniversary and I was a little disappointed. Also didn’t sell champagne by the glass.

Got there and was taken to our table straight away. Food was great. Service was first class and we wouldnt hesitate to go back. No faults at all

Food was average but service very slow and everyone very confused on who had ordered what. Wrong meals brought to our table several times and no real apology

Excellent food, never had a disappointing meal. Great staff very pleasant and competent couldn't ask for more.. would definitely recommend LaScala . Prices reasonable too!

Had a really nice meal,arrived a little early but our table was available, attentive,friendly waiting staff.Food lovely, well worth the money.Only downside was noisy children

We went on a Sunday afternoon and the service was fantastic - very friendly staff. The food was really good and I would recommend to all :-)

Very friendly and excellent parking. A party of four, everybody enjoyed everything they had. Wine list is limited, but probably suits most pallets and budgets. It was very reasonably priced overall, the previous evening our bill, for 2, was only £10 less, and we didn't have dessert or as many drinks!! My one criticism is the lack of vegetarian options. If you are gluten intolerant or vegan you will have a choice of salad or salad!! Overall, nice food, good service and value for money.

great food but very noisy and it wasn't even peak time. seems to be lots of staff but some couldn't take a food order some could seems odd. 2 staff in particular were very touchy feely with each other which isn't something should be projected across the restaurant floor.

Service was great again we go to this restaurant regular and the food is always spot on, the steak wS cooked lovely and would recommend this restaurant.

Food is ok nothing special just ok and a little expensive for an Italian. The problem with the place is the head waiter I can only inmagine he is part of the ownership because I have never met a more rude and miserable man in any restaurant. On top of this the place was freezing, on a frosty night with not many diners there was no heating on.

It was a number of years since we had been to La Scala and it is still very good. Excellent food and efficient service. Would recommend.

Delicious food, served by happy, smiley and polite staff. Ambiance very good. I really lovely experience. We will definitely revisit as soon as we can.

The food was fabulous, although somewhat expensive...... the atmosphere is very good but that said that was formed by the members of our group still worth a visit though..... :-)

Went on a Tuesday night with friends seven of us altogether, had a drink in the bar first. Very good service and a nice surprise was the early bird menu was available until 10 pm on a Tuesday, consisting of 3 courses for £14.99 A most enjoyable evening.

Food was absolutely lovely. Service was great. Was abit of a mix up with our bill at the end due to early bird menu but the very helpful waiter quickly sorted this. Will definitely be returning.

We used to go here on a regular basis as it was my wifes favourite restaurant but we moved out of the district and havent been for some 14yrs . As a surprize to my wife for valentines day myself and our two boys booked a table here and wow ,,, it has got even better the food was superb , the staff were superb and we were not dissapointed , we will be back and we do highly recommend you pay a visit here at lascala ,,,,,

Amazing food, super fast service and lovely staff. Very family oriented restaurant, they can’t do enough for you. The specials options were plentiful as well as the standard menu.

The food as normal is excellent. However, the staff member that served us was not particularly friendly, he didn’t smile once, and it felt like it was all far too much trouble for him. The guy in the grey, who I think is a manager, was the total opposite, friendly,helpful,pleased to see you. Our waiter should consider working on an occasional smile...after all I am spending my hard earned money,but we couldn’t wait to leave 😱😱

La Scala is a nice family run restaurant in a converted pub. This is the second time eating here. The food was nice enough and hot, the service is good, I 'd probably eat there again as its a nice place for a family meal and close, however being picky and having eaten in a few Italians in and around Manchester, I feel they could improve on the Veg selection, Broccoli, Carrots and Roast spuds is a bit boring to be honest, I'd have preferred something a bit more Mediterranean / imaginative...Maybe other locals prefer the "traditional British veg"? Price wise, I think its a little expensive given the veg that you get with the Carne dishes.... The olives were well below par...seems like they came from a jar from the local Asda, small, over ripe and drowning in juice,...really not very nice. Their Tiramisu however is very, very nice and their choice of coffee is a good, solid and packs a punch and best served black.
