Great night as always!!!! Keep up the good work, Houghton Village needed this, we all arent Pipe, Slippers and Fire! Houghton is changing as a village, lets welcome the young 🎉

Lovely food, great atmosphere, good service. Really enjoyed our meal. Can highly recommend it. Liked the fact that the menu is not too extensive, not too many choices.

Main meal looked ok on the plate but was too rich, it lacked any fresh veg. The staff mark alone would have been 10 they were helpful and friendly

This restaurant is great. Top quality food and service in a nice cozy restaurant. Prices are very reasonable. This is a great asset to the village.

Very disappointing the food was minimal overrated on the menu and expensive not value for money in our opinion wouldn't ever go back, the place was cold no heating.

Excellent food, beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff attentive and helpful. Have now been 4 times and will certainly be back. Highly recommend.

Good atmosphere food was different with plenty of choices for a small place to eat. Good service by very helpful staff. I have mentioned to a lot of friends about my experience there.

Food was great, a bit more selection other than mainly fish dishes would be nice. Staff were very kind and prices were very reasonable too.

Really enjoy meal here - went on a saturday night - good atmosphere with good food - decent enough price wise - well worth a visit

The food was excellent, served promptly in a pleasant atmosphere by staff who were warm and welcoming. We could not have had a more pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening at Lounge on the green, the staff were very friendly and helpful, our meal was beautiful the pork cheeks were so tender and tasty. We will most certainly be going back.

Lovely food except Kale 'tough'. Need plates with 'bread & oil' entree to avoid drips on table & clothing! Pressure on arrival at 6pm when greeted with request to vacate table by 8pm. Great interior design / decoration. All staff very attentive.

The food was very good, subdued lighting and low levels of music. Service with a smile by the staff, limited street parking immediately outside but parking about the village green is only a 5 minute walk away. I would recommend

Lovely meal and good service, very helpful friendly staff. Menu choice good and food well presented only improvement would be a lighter choice of puddings as they were all very rich and heavy. Relaxed atmosphere, very tasteful decor. Would highly recommend

Food was delicious, but sadly lacking in atmosphere in the restaurant as no other customers at 5pm. Would have preferred to eat later, unable to.

Faultless! We've lived in Carlisle 19 years and this is the first decent restaurant north of the river in all that time. Between the two of us, we had 6 courses and every one of them was delicious. Perfectly cooked and well presented by informally attentive staff. Can't speak highly enough of this new establishment. And as a further bonus, I was introduced to Shed Head, a beautiful Swedish beer. We'll be back.

Great menu and food cooked well. Pork cheeks and Hake and lemon posset all delicious. Good service and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Will visit again 🙂

At long last Carlisle has an alternative quality restaurant. Food presented and executed to perfection. Great helpful staff and excellent value for money. A must to visit.

The service was excellent and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the ambience of the place and enjoyed a drink afterwards in the small bar area. An enjoyable evening.

1st time I had ever been, excellent will definitely go again great food, atmosphere & decor really modern funky dinner service, one miniscule complaint the background music was really muffled

Excellent food in very smart restaurant, the bread and oils are a bit difficult to eat between four from the centre of the table, not in anyway a negative comment about the food, service or surroundings. 5*

Small restaurant in convenient village location. Pleasant atmosphere. Food was excellent, recommend the smoked salmon starter and fillet steak main. Service was quick and staff attentive without being intrusive.

This was our first time and we're not sure what to expect, we were all very pleased with the apperence and the polite welcome. The staff were very attentive and looked after all our requests and needs. The food was of a high standard and we all enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be going again.

scallops were delicious although would prefer served a little Hotter . Steak was cooked perfect to liking , nice atmosphere , Lovely restaurant Would recommend to friends .

Great little bistro/bar . Food is lovely with great staff !The desserts are huge so if you love puds leave plenty of room , love this place .
