Macellaio RC - Union Street

Straight forward food done exceptionally well. Attentive service. Great location, close to Southwark tub station but tucked away and off the busy main road. The chicken was well cooked and particularly tasty. Will be visiting again soon.

Good wide menu, especially if you like steak - which I do. Shame no mushrooms side dish though. I had a nice steak and chips, with an apple pie and caramel sauce for desert. Would be nice if they had some low-alcohol beers - as many restaurants do these days.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London. Amazing staff, amazing food and amazing wine. The Lardo bruschetta is sublime and you have to try the burrata starters and don't get me started on the selection of quality meat.

Kindness and courtesy of the staff, quality of the food accompanied by a good selection chioce of wines and the internal atmosphere of the place.

I was not impress from the meet. Dishes were very small. Bread was far from being close to even simple Italian restaurant. No value for money.

They didn’t ask us how we wanted the steak cooked - it turned up at the table a little later under its own steam! Menu/wine list intimates that they tie the way they cook the steak to wine choice you make - they clearly didn’t. All very confusing!

Great service, great food, best stake, wine was excellent and we will go back! restaurant location and vibe was great to, we had a great meal and a celebration to remember!

Poor service, prices did not respect what waiter said, be careful at the weight of the meat! Because they bring you more and charge you more

I am a fan of this Macellaio. This shop is a stylish restaurant where modern British and Italian coalesced. I made pasta for today. Pasta is not good. Steak is recommended. I always like desserts in Ikeike. By F from Japan

These guys deserve a 10/10: great and relaxed location, amazing food (I come from Genoa and I can't believe I've found a place in London where to eat Focaccia and Focaccia Al Formaggio), and super staff (Emanuele has been very nice and professional during our dinner). Macellaio RC is now definitely on my list of favourite restaurants...well done and see you soon!!

I gave 6 on the Macellaio in South Kensington because the steak was perfect, but here in Macellaio Union the steak was not even close, it was just good. Anyway, we eat well, the starters were super nice. The focaccia al formaggio was the best choice yesterday.

Good quality interesting menu. Enjoyed it. Liver starter was scrumpy chicken main delicions and dessert refreshing and very good value. Not cheap but good value.

Great restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and the steak was cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines, if somewhat pricey. We had beef carpaccio and steak tartare for starters, they were beautifully seasoned and decent sized portions. Oh, don't forget to get a portion of the homemade foccacia...Oh. my. God.

Good service and excellent produce used in very tasty meals. Wine selection good too so, all in all, a really good experience and I suspect it won’t be long until we had back again to try out more of the menu options.

overall good impression and nice food, but the temperature was too hot that we couldn't enjoy entirely our dinner and then suddenly a big smoke smell made us smelly after we were out.

I had a lovely time, great food as always. If you go there you should definitely try the starters (like lardo, burrata) and the cheese focaccia

Always delicious food and great service. My favourite is the raw meat (battuta, tartar, and carpaccio). High quality beef from italy! Also, desserts are all great. Excellent spot for a quick lunch with family and friends.

Steak was first rate. Staff was equal to the steak. Recommended an organic wine that was modestly priced and excellent when I was willing to pay much more. Worth every penny.

The service was fantastic. Incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was divine. I had steak tartare followed by the T-Bone Fiorentina cooked to absolute perfection (rare). The chocolate trufffle tasted truly orgasmic. The morellino was good although I have tasted a better one, but it was still outstanding. Was a perfect birthday meal. Will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent food, from starters to the main course (we were too full to have dessert :-)). The personnel are extremely friendly and helpful. We followed their advice and left the restaurant very happy. Well wort the money.

A great restaurant with superb steaks... And Moretti beer :-) A bit tucked away under the arches but seek it out and you will not be dissapointed.

Great Fiorentina. Everything of good quality. Surprising tasty the desserts. Quick and efficient service.

Staff was ok, a bit pushy. Meat was super average, we paid over a £100 for the meat to share for 3 people but was disappointed because the meat was over cooked ( I asked Medium and I got well done and my friends got med-rare and they got medium to well) which is disappointing because I thought they knew how to cook their meat. Also meat had no taste at all... the restaurant was full of smoke from the kitchen and when I came out I could smell it on my clothes and hair! Not coming back.

PERFECT AND VERY ITALIAN TASTE. Everything is good, ambient and service. Cleaning and perfect in all circumstances. Price is correct, a little bit high but the quality is high

The service and staff were very curtious and professional. The T bone steak was very tasty as were the sides. The mashed potato was lumpy but we ordered this once our main had arrived so could have been rushed. The ravioli were too aldente and the sauce was too dry, not pleasant at all. We complained but wasn’t offered to change

The waiting staff were absolutely delightful, attentive and explained everything clearly to us. Had such a lovely experience and will definitely be back for another delicious meal.

Great food and service! The Fassona rump steak was incredible, we tried the one with gorgonzola and the one with parmiggiano. We recommend to try the Focaccia al formaggio as starter.

Great staff who were extremely knowledgeable on both the wine and the food. Meal was delicious and extremely well priced for the area and quality. Will definitely be going back!
