Mala Indian Restaurant

Great food as always. Service also goo. One slightly annoying thing is that when the waiters or waitresses pour wine they tend to manage to empty a bottle in two glasses!

When ever I'm in London, I like to eat in this restaurant. Sometimes the service has been lacking but the food has always been good. This visit everything was spot on. Great food, gorgeous location, what more can you ask?!

Service and food at this restaurant was impeccable. The location and abundance of window seats overlooking the harbour area of ST Katherine's Dock also make this a venue with the wow factor. Best indication of my satisfaction is that I'll be going back! Priced very reasonably too!

The Valentine's day decorations were very cheesy. They attached balloons to chairs making it difficult and clumsy to have food. We ordered okra masala and the okra was slightly raw. Moreover, the staff were more enthusiastic to get us out of the restaurant than at bringing the food. Overall, I'd say that their quality of food and service has declined over the last 2 years.

Attentive Servers. Food excellent, my colleage raved about the Hara Chicken Masala as a starter and the King Prawn Tawa Masala. Like most places now a 12.5% service charge was added to the bill. I woukd rather decide how much to tip. Other than thr setting was fabulous.

A great place for lunch. Excellent food, and plenty of it! The Thali plates (meat, fish and veggie) were all really tasty and great value.

Food was amazing and plenty of it. Service was fast, that said the restaurant was pretty much empty. Toilets weren't the cleanest I've been in - and the ice cream served in the clay pot tasted like the pot, hence why this wasn't a 6/6 - would definitely recommend though.

Having eaten here many times and tried plenty of Indian restaurants in London, this, by far, is brilliant for tradition great quality Indian cuisine. Great staff and a wonderful setting. Love the place !

Great food, excellent service, difficult to fault. Recommended by a friend and this didn't disappoint. It's also in a superb location, convenient to both tube & river.

Food is nice although the lack of staff made the whole experience not so pleasant. Waited almost an hour for the food. Had to ask 3 times for water as the staff were all over the place. Good food, bad service.

We found Mala Indian Restaurant provided good service and good food. They also cater well for young children providing an overall good experience on a Sunday lunch-time.

Great food although service was a little slow. The inexpensive but very drinkable house wine helped to make this not such a problem.

Excellent meal and very friendly staff. Would recommend the restuarant for both couples and larger groups of people. St Katherines Dock is also a great location away from the busy streets of the City. We have already reserved a table for out Xmas meal at the Mala!

Restaurant was ok. Food ok. However, I was not amused to see we had been charged for a small plate of onion rings (£2.75) but give the restaurant their dues, the charge was taken off when I made a (small) fuss. No doubt he prices are on the expensive side and I can't help feel this place is touting for tourist trade rather than savvy Londoners who know they can get a decent curry for half the price elsewhere.

Lunch menu did not have a variety of selection and was not explained to us. The food was average and the service was slow.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and usually cooked to perfection. We came for lunch on a Sunday and the whole area of St Katherine Docks was busy all weekend and as expected, the restaurant was full like we have never seen before. My fish dish was cold so it was taken away and had to be warmed up. Nevertheless, the staff were professional and worked really hard to serve all the customers the best they could. It's nice to see the restaurant doing well but it needs the proper amount of staff on these really busy days.

Poor service: had to wait for 20 minutes before anyone took our drink orders. After waiting for 30minutes only to be told that one of the drinks were not available! Food was poor the lamb was dry and seemed warmed up in a sauce, rice was half done and very oily. On average 1 out a 5 star. Wouldn't recommend it.

Great location for a restaurant but the food was overpriced for the standard that was given. Service was also below average and unfriendly as no waiters gave any eye contact throughout service.

Busy Saturday night but the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. Will go again next time in town and will definitely be recommending to everyone. Indian food at its best!!!!

The restaurant is located near the Tower Bridge at a nice small harbour. We like the view. The restaurant itself was clean and the food was excellent. We enjoyed it. Prices were reasonable. Service was good as well. Would recommend this to other people. Regards, Ricardo from the Netherlands

Food was out of this world as always! What stopped me giving a perfect score again was the same issue as in February....lovely non alcoholic fruit cocktails on the menu, once again unavailable! Not even fresh fruit juice available. Not everyone drinks alcohol, I'm driving in from Oxfordshire. Service is very good.

Very nice food in a great location. Friendly waiters and seems to be authentic as many Indians as customers. Enjoyed a nice lunch here.

A truly lovely lunch - the Thalis were generous and very tasty as were the Lassis. The setting was very attractive and staff were efficient and very polite. Top place!

i have visited twice and every time the food has tasted amazing, the atmoshpere has been great and the waiters attentive. It has great views too, better than brick lane by far 10/10

Excellent food and service. My 3rd time here. Highly recommend it. There were 4 of us dining this time and we were so well looked after from the moment we arrived until we left.

Excellent food in pleasant surroundings with the right level of service polite and attentive. Good spacing between tables and elegant decor. very clean and airy.
