Mamma's American Pizza

Lovely pizza and great service. Waitress very patient waiting for our order as we kept chatting and not concentrating on what we wanted to order! Pizza was lovely, and gluten free pizza base also excellent.

We booked a table of 7 and everyone enjoyed their food. Prices are very reasonable for Edinburgh and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back for seconds.

Nothing special. Nachos came with three jalapeños! Main of cheesy pasta was not enjoyable at all, pasta very over cooked and had a weird taste to it. It took staff ages to collect our bill, we sat waiting for 15/20 mins on our change. The staff were too busy taking down posters down and blue tack off the wall (it required three staff members to do this apparently)!

Very good food (Gf) and wine! But our side orders did not arrive after asking twice. But been many times before and has been fine so think it was just busy!

Had a wonderful experience at Mamma Mia last night....both myself and my friends were really pleased with the level of friendly service (both girls were lovely and soooo helpful), and good food...it has been quite a while since the whole package has been experienced by us. We will definitely be back without doubt, hopefully very soon. Would highly recommend it, and have already sung the praises of this restaurant to others today.

Returning visit. But we have found it's best to book in advance due to being a busy place. Friendly staff,a good choice on the menu all made fresh. We will keep returning.

They do the best gluten free pizzas that I have tasted. Staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem to them. when fineshed our meal we sat outside for drinks in the sunshine. would definitly go back soon.

Mamma's is our favorite pizza place to go to in Edinburgh. Staff are welcoming,friendly & helpful. If there is a topping there is a topping on a pizza we don't like they are happy to switch it for something else at time of ordering. A very homey restaurant.

Great food and staff! Recommend and of their cool pizzas! We shared a large which is fine for two. Not the greatest fan of the 25 word minimum of reviews though...

Even with my gluten and lactose intolerance i could eat at this place whereas going out to dinner usually is hell. Also they were really patient and kind as i had hundreds of questions regarding my diet and the menu. To conclude, had an amazing dinner!

still the best pizza in town. have being going to mammas from day one. servuce was first class..glad we booked. even though it was early evening it was busy.

Loved it. The food was excellent, with very generous portion sizes. Very prompt and friendly service too. My wife particularly liked it because she needs gluten free food and they provided very well for that. We would be delighted to eat here again.

Lovely place to eat, relaxed and friendly. My daughter is a Coeliac and Mammas did the most delicious gluten free pizza and helped her eat gluten free and problem free (a rarity for coeliacs). We'll be back.

Lovely food, pleasant service. Was shown to table by friendly waiter even though I was 15mins early - only slight complaint was I wish someone had taken a drink order from me as I sat alone in the corner!

Gluten free pizza here is out of this world. Lovely staff too. I'm never disappointed in Mamma's, it's so friendly and laid back yet the food is gorgeous. My mum and I wanted to go half and half with our pizza toppings and the staff were super helpful and did us a half pizza each. Even gave my mum a doggy bag when she couldn't finish hers! Can't wait for my next visit.

Everyone had pizza, they all loved them very tasty. The staff were attentive and really lovely. Would recommend it to friends and family. We would go back again

Excellent service however very disappointing food, greasy chicken wings, burnt pizzas which were black on the bottom. Meatballs very hard and dry, overall extremely disappointed.

I love Mammas my Gluten free pizza was delish and the staff were very attentive. Had the rocket salad and would def have it when I visit next time

Went to Mamma's as a group of 4. Our 3rd visit over the last 4 years. As in previous visits the food was lovely. Staff were friendly but the service wasn't as good as our previous visits. Our table was near the door which was a bit chilly. Our waitress shut it for us for it only to be opened 5 minutes later! Overall had a good night with good company.

Fantastic service, friendly and very child friendly. Pizzas are delicious - very filling and you may need a doggy bag - thank you - hope to see you again soon

Great tasty food. It's the best gluten free pizza I've had since having to go GF. Huge choice of toppings available. Friendly staff and quick service.

The food and service was good, but they were out of most types of beer, which was a big disappointment for several of our company.

We have not been in mammas for years don't quite no why !!! The food as we remember was excellent as was the service we had four children in our group and they were kept amused with crayons and colouring pictures ... they also enjoyed there menu and getting to keep the ice cream cup was the icing on the cake ... followed by the treasure chest toy .... we will definitely be back sooner this time ... The only down side was the flush in the ladies toilet was broken and when you have small children going a couple of times it was a bit painful to wait and watch it refill !!!

Great tasting food served by great friendly staff. Nice laid back atmosphere. Would recommend the chilli and will be back again to try the pizza.

Superb food, gluten free party member extra impressive at the homemade fresh gf pizza dough. Really friendly and knowledgeable waiter with relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended

Service was fairly good and food was good. Just a lack of drinks on the menu actually in stock was the issue. Would return as we did enjoy.

We always eat here when we visit Edinburgh. Lovely food with great service in a fantastic location. So many 'chain' restaurants in Edinburgh but lovely to eat somewhere traditional with its own style

Good food and attentive staff. Downside was the table for 2 in the middle of restaurant. You have staff and customers passing on each side. Not a relaxing place to sit.

Great restaurant, which we make a point to visit each time we are in Edinburgh. Staff are very welcoming and the food is great. The menu isn't massive however, if you want great pizza then this is the place to go!

After having been since i was little due to it being the only gluten free restuarant that i could eat at, i was very dissapointed with my latest visit last night. I was very much looking forward to it, talked it up so much to my partner. It was a horrible meal to say the least, lacking in taste, the dough was very thick and had no flavour, even the toppings didnt taste of much. I had even ordered a 12'' for myself so that i could have it for my lunch today. What a waste of money. Definitely wont be back. Very sad as we used to go as a big family.
