This place is friendly and efficient. The food is great and almost every time I’ve been we are offered some kind of complementary side dish.
Delicious food in warm atmosphere. Overall service was very good but they got my main course order wrong. Rectified it pretty quickly and all food was good.
Service was very poor. Waited for ages to even get a menu, got forgotten a few times, waited extremely long for our mains. Place was so crowded that the waiters kept leaning over me to serve the table next to us. Food was very average.
Overrated, poor quality staff (owner), should be more accommodating and get off his high horse, no class, the customer is always right. He needs to spend less time on twitter and more time learning how to act like a gentlemen.
Excellent value for fresh, tasty, well prepared food. Bread comes out piping hot and smoky from the oven, meats are tender and yielding, and meze fresh and tasty. Lovely for an informal meal out.
Always top drawer and I eat there every week! Friendly staff, nice decor, lovely atmosphere and dont get me started on the food, un beleiveable
Superb experience sitting in kitchen. Surprisingly excellent food and friendly staff. We brought tourist friends from Spain who were very impressed. Thank you to all the team!
We’ve wanted to visit Mangal II for a long time (we live in the East Midlands, so we aren’t local). It exceeded all our expectations. The Set Meal 2 was incredible. The food was delicious, plentiful and very good value. Service was great and there was a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We hope to visit again one day.
They have delicious food, friendly service and it's reasonably priced. Also the artists Gilbert and George were there which was great! Would come back again and again.
It was a nice mangal restaurant. That was our second time. We are lucky to see Gilbert and George who are famous contemporary artists in U.K.
the room is very hot and smokey as there isn't good ventilation. Food is average. The redeeming feature is BYOB, which is not usual for Turkish places.
The food is always tasty and it's great value for money. The decor is a bit tired but you are there for the amazing charcoal grill in the centre of the room.
Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday. We had starters and a main and all the food was very good. The portions are large and it was a pity that we had to leave the rice and bread at the end. Prices aren't very cheap but for London it was ok. Staff were pleasant enough although an odd smile would have been nice!
Fantastic food very noisy at peak time and advisable to book , certainly on weekends Quieter after 10 on Friday and Saturday Lamb grilled to perfection.
nice food good service reasonable price and my idols: Gilbert & George go for dinner every night what else can I expect!!! thanks and see you soon
One of the best places to eat in London! I continue to come back again and again without fail. A true feast and a place with real heart and great service.
Excellent food, good happy service. Three of us had different dishes from the extensive menu - 2 meat eaters and a vegetarian - and were each delighted with our choices.
Wonderful staff, delicious food and an incredible atmosphere. What more could you want from a restaurant? Would go every night if I could, new favourite restaurant
Really reasonable and mountains of food, was delicious! Staff were lovely also. We both had hummus to start and I had veggie moussaka & my brother had a lamb shish, loads of salad and rice came with it and really tasty chilli sauce!
Had a great night at Mangal II. Staff very pleasant and kind and the food was delicious! Was absolutely stuffed! Will go back for sure... the restaurant had been recommended by a friend.
Mangal 2's got great service, great food and a great atmosphere. 10/10 experience and great value for money! The only place I go to in Stoke Newington for Turkish food.
Very good food, can get really busy and loud. Perhaps you should go before 7 or after 8:30 if you want to eat in relative peace and quiet. Lovely humus.
Great food, great portions. Staff were friendly and there honestly was nothing to complain about. Would recommend to anyone just wanting a nice low key Turkish meal.
Excellent food - really fresh and delicious. It was very noisy - as expected on Saturday night - and service a bit forgetful. But otherwise great.
Excellent food and charming staff, a very pleasant experience and one of our party had gone to the other Mangan in Arcola street and left a bag with phone I. It. There are obviously good links and one of their staff had so kindly brought the bag to restaurant personally. Reassuring that there are good kind people.

Possibly the best mangal in London! Epic portions of meat piled high on the most deliciously buttery rice. Set menu 1 is an absolute must!!
We had a brilliant time at Mangal II, we received great service and great food! The waiter was friendly and did his best to ensure we enjoyed out meal.
Great Turkish restaurant on Kingsland Road. The food was really good and the prices were very reasonable. It's a BYOB restaurant too so you can bring your own drinks.
An excellent restaurant with good quality service and cuisine. I go out of my way in order to dine here and always try to bring as many friends with me as possible to share in the enjoyment that is Mangal 2.
The food was great and the service is really good. The staff is very nice! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a proper turkish meal.
We went to Mangal II for a work lunch. The food was delicious - we had meze and kebabs. There was lots left over which we took home for a later snack! The service was attentive and friendly - we can't wait to go back.
Fantastic food, patlican kebab was delicious. And you can see the food being cooked on the charcoal oven. Also byo which is a big plus!
Simply the best Turkish restaurant in London. A bit overcrowded and noisy especially at weekends but the food is definitely worth a visit. Not to be missed.
Good food. Sat next to the grill so was very smoky. Portions are huge and the bread is amazing. Would come back again for sure.
Excellent food! quite a small restaurant with the tables pretty close together which was a bit of a squish but good service, would definitely go back there again!
Our food was nice when it eventually came, two hours.later, when asking the staff where the food was, they were very rude. They said it was busy and it wasn't their fault. We didn't eat until 10 30.
We went ahead of a visit to the Arcola Theatre and wanted a relaxed space to eat and chat. We got that, with great food, excellent service and a positive vibe - and the play was good.
The food was cheap and delicious and there was lots of it! The service could have been quicker, but it was extremely busy. Overall it was a very good meal!
Very slow service, could be excusable as it was a party of 14, but it took 2 1/2 hours to get one course served. Would avoid for large parties.
