Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
Encompassing an Italian restaurant, pizzeria and Champagne bar in one stunning location in the beating heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City precinct, Mediterraneo is for many diners a one-stop shop when it comes to the colour and flavour of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. The excellence that Mediterraneo represents has not gone unnoticed, with the restaurant scooping the People’s Choice prize in the 2014 Scottish Italian Awards. A superlative dining destination in the city centre, found down Ingram Street and close to a number of Glasgow’s landmarks, diners are spoiled for choice.
Went with our friends for lunch last week. Service, food and choice on menu were all excellent. I have been to this restaurant, on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere . My fiancée and I had a very enjoyable time eating and drinking here , the pianist in the background made our night
A nice meal with very pleasant and helpful staff. We have had many lovely meals in Mediterraneo. The lasagne was tasty but a bit dried out and over cooked. Pasta dishes were good.
There are many ways you can approach Mediterraneo’s superb Italian and Mediterranean dining experience, right in the heart of the city centre. Go a la carte with a classic selection of starters, pasta and risotto dishes, main courses and desserts, partake in authentic Neapolitan pizza or sample the restaurant’s specialty pasta parcels (the Russo family’s Glasgow legacy began with grandfather’s Russo’s pasta factory), or the chef’s specialties and chargrilled dishes. If you’re looking to get acquainted with what many would call the Merchant City’s finest Italian restaurant, another option is to go for the fixed-price two-course Chef’s Big Deal menu, served Sunday to Thursday from noon, again on Friday from noon, and Saturday from noon until 5pm.
If you’re out shopping in Merchant City or seeing the sights in and around Glasgow’s city centre during the week, Mediterraneo have laid on some special tea time menus for a great value Italian meal between friends. Upping the ante even further, the ideal pre-theatre or pre-concert dinner can be had by gathering a bunch of friends together to order a number of smaller dishes from the ‘piccolino’ menu before you catch the show – the Scottish Youth Theatre, Jongleurs Comedy Club, City Halls & Old Fruitmarket and the 13th Note are all within walking distance of Mediterraneo’s Ingram Street address. Remember that reservations are essential for this popular Glasgow Italian restaurant, but also that if you join the Amici Club you can enjoy exclusive offers, menus and event invitations both here at Mediterraneo and at proprietors Mariano and Nunzio’s other restaurants – La Fiorentina, Casa Russo, and Volare!
