Miyagi – Bold Street

An excellent meal in a relaxing setting on a Sunday evening , with very good service from Rebecca. We very much look forward to returning / going again next time we are up in Liverpool. We live in London and were visiting friends and relatives up in Liverpool for the weekend. Peter Collier

Decent value food, excellent service. Atmosphere is great, always busy which is a good sign for a restaurant. Menu isn't extensive but this is a good thing; all the dishes are very strong.

Beautiful venue, wonderful food, really helpful waiter. the only thing that spoilt it for me was the chairs were extremely uncomfortable! Would not stop me from highly recommending though.

Excellent food & friendly service (as usual!). Tried cocktails for the first time here tonight which were very good. We'll be back (& so will our friends!)

Arrived 15 mins early but table was ready for us. Great service throughout. Food was all to table quite close together, no-one in the party was left waiting. Food was great all-round, really well-cooked and served, tasted lovely. Shame that upstairs bar was not open to have drinks in afterwards given that it was Saturday. Had a great time and staff were really goof throughout. We're already planning to return.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Will return! We shared a starter and had a large main each which was just enough. The cocktails were to die for.

This is our second visit and once again the food was outstanding, the staff are so polite and helpful and really know their stuff so recommend dishes and drinks that really complimented each other - once again a great evening. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - well worth visiting

atmosphere, service and soul singer that was on were great but the food was a bit of a let down. Might go back and try something different and see if it changes my mind!

Unique food menu, refreshing beverages and very nice ambience for dinner. Very satisfied with the experience and will definitely come back again in the future.

Food and cocktails where excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Sadly understaffed and we weren't looked after as much as we'd have liked and service was slow - the waiter explained to us the situation (both of us working in restaurants ourselves understood) Loved it enough to come back again though!

We enjoyed our night in Miyagi. The staff were very friendly and attentive and there's a great atmosphere. The food is good, but not great. I had the double pork ramen, very nice but they don't have chilli flakes or chilli oil, a bit unusual for a Japanese restaurant. Nevertheless a very enjoyable experience. We will go back.

The waitresses and waiters were amazing but the food we ordered was rather plain, we found ourselves drowning it in soy sauce. The cocktails weren't that nice either although the general atmosphere was nice and the decor. We also waited a fair while for our food (we ordered x2 veggie ramen, x2 chicken ramen, hot &sticky chicken wings and bao buns)

Really tasty food and superb waiting staff-fab experience-would definitely go back. Cocktails list is also v nice and extremely reasonable-this was a first time for me and really enjoyed!

Amongst the best food and service in Liverpool. Decor is so nice too. Rally quirky. Love it - a must try.

We did have an ok time but it wasn't exactly the birthday celebration I had in mind for my husband. Be aware if booking for a special occasion make sure to ask for a table downstairs. Upstairs is funky but much more relaxed, more café than restaurant. Our first visit so wasn't aware and no-one mentioned this even though I stated the booking was for my husbands birthday. Didn't help that our waiter kept mentioning how good it was downstairs and there was a band on so after we had eaten we should go and sit at the bar 'downstairs' to enjoy ! We had to wait for over half an hour at the bar downstairs until we were actually taken upstairs which we were quite surprised about as all the tables up there were practically empty. We were then seated next to a dirty table with all cleaning products just left on it ! Would be OK for a night out with friends I am sure but as I say not really good for a special occasion. Great cocktails though, which is why we ended up staying.

The food was amazing as always and service was fast and efficient. All the staff we're attentive and quick and made us feel so comfortable

Visited lunch time on a Saturday, the restaurant was fairly busy and had a nice atmosphere. We ordered 4 street food for two of us and it was plenty. Lovely restaurant, great food, very flavoursome and decent portions.

The food and drinks at Miyagi afe amazing, i would definitely recommend. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. I will be going back soon

The food was very salty and there was too much emphasis on fried products which all tasted similar. We were not allowed to sit downstairs despite there being space and the service was terribly slow. We waited 35 minutes for a drink.

Lovely staff and delicious food as always, took friends who were visiting Liverpool and both daid next time they come back to the city they will book again

Amazing food and the staff couldn't do enough for my wife, daughter and I. Would highly recommended to families and couples alike. Will definitely be back. 10/10

Miyagi was a pleasantly surprising spot for quasi-genuine, pan-Asian cuisine. Their modern take on food has definitely left an impression on me that will result in future business.

Food was excellent, staff friendly, prices were a little high for lunch, but overall a very good experience. The interior decor is great too, and they have Ashasi beer on tap. Excellent.

Fantastic food - I had the lamb bao buns and my daughter the chicken ramen plus we shared dick gyoza. All delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Great food, ramen was amazing. Ordered a selection of starters, which were delicious too. Nice choice of cocktails as well, which are worth a try when you are there. Service was friendly and quick.

Very good food! 9 in our party and nobody was disappointed! We just need to get used to what each meal is as Japanese is new (to me anyway!) Wine however! Expensive!

Great food, good atmosphere, unique experience. A great restaurant which I plan to visit again! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! The food is always great! Fresh ingredients and great quality Japanese food at very reasonable prices. It's great to visit for group meals (even large groups) or if you'd like to enjoy a lovely meal alone or as a couple. Staff are friendly, great service provided.

Just. Stunning. Food. Can't recommend it enough. Fabulously prices lunch menu too. Have a go. You won't regret it. And get the pork belly bun.
