Montpeliano Restaurant

The restaurant is fantastic!! Lovely atmosphere, it is very beautiful inside. The decorations are adorable. The staff are wonderful - extremely accomodating, polite, they create the medium of the restaurant with their occasional jokes, fast service. On top pf it all, the food was absolutely delicious! I had the seafood pasta and my husband had lamb cutlets. The flavours were splendid, the seasoning was complete creating true joy of each dish. The tiramisu dessert was no less fantastic. Important note that the price to quality ratio was fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful visit and a lovely finale of our day out in London!

Great food great service and a very nice surrounding! Toilets very clean which is a prone for us as we had 2 kids. I would recommend it for sure.

Very nice atmosphere with excellent food and efficient service. I particularly liked the fact that the lady who helped us to order tried hard to recommend the right amount rather than to push “market price” items. Will definitely visit again soon!

Service was a little slow to start with, but soon picked up, and the food was excellent. I would recommend the lamb cutlets. You might need to wear a jumper if you are sitting in the area with the glass roof.

Food was excellent. Service very friendly though a little slow. Had to pour wine and water ourselves and always had to get staffs attention to order dessert and more water. Would go again though.

Great service and atmosphere - really enjoyed the menu choice and they even provided an off-menu traditional Italian item as a speciality which we appreciated highly.

Our first visit but we will definitely be back again. Good quality Italian food served by very experienced and knowledgeable front of house staff. Has an authentic Italian feel and the prices are very reasonable for Knightsbridge.

The restaurant was excellent super location super food excellent staff couldn't fault it.My 3 year old granddaughter was made very welcome as well.definitely would go back

Lovely experience, welcoming from the outset. Extensive menu catering for all tastes and costs. It can be busy but that adds to the atmosphere homely and traditional. Friendly staff and good service.

Tired restaurant, in serious need of uplift, nothing changed since the 1970’s. Rather mediocre food. Staff traditional and friendly like an old boys team out of The Godfather movie. Given its location has potential which alas is unexploited.

Super food and good choice of wine. Very engaging and pleasant staff. And, given the location, good value for money. The decor and presentation of the restaurant is pleasing to the eye and makes for a very enjoyable evening.

Food cold, service was arrogant and the restaurant is a shadow of its former self. It was a Monday and empty but no excuse for making no effort to be nice. Very sad to see indeed

Lovely food, and lots of it....absolutely delicious Osso Buco, and veal dishes. The waiters have been there years and so know all the customers, so it's a bit like a proper old fashioned Italian but very chic and airy.

Great service, excellent food it never disappoints. We regularly visit when we are in London and we are always made very welcome. The owner is quite a character and brings his own special charm to the restaurant.

Lovely ambience and good food. Service could be more on the ball. We asked for lime with our water and had to ask again. They did take the coffee off the bill to reflect.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere were simply outstanding. It was one of the best meals we have had in London in recent years. This was our 4th or 5th visit to Montpeliano and we will definitely return. There were new items on the menu that we had not tried before and they were excellent. Wine recommendation was a big hit. Authentic Italian food, atmosphere and service, all in the heart of London. One of the waiters (owner perhaps) was walking around in a white tracksuit and filling in the gaps here and there. Made for a homey/earthy atmosphere. Wonderful.

Our 4th time... just a fabulous meal!!! ... yet again. The staff was attentive and just took care of our every need.... we will be back. Pinole, who has been there 40 years... took great care of us again!!

My wife and I liked this traditional Italian menu blended with modern elements. It was reasonably priced considering the location. The service was good as was the wine selection. The decor could use an refresh. Would recommend.

Lovely lunch with family - fresh fish, pasta and vegetables, but so much choice and something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic food. Classic Italian with lots of choice. Really fresh fish and fantastic pasta dishes. Lovely for dinner, but also a great place for a weekend lunch and in the summer the roof opens at the back. Staff exceptional and lovely. Knightsbridge has fewer and fewer restaurants we would visit by Montpeliano hasn’t changed thank goodness and remains the same!

If you like Italian food in a laid back yet elegant environment with a warm and friendly atmosphere then this is for you! No pretence.

Excellent. Very good service and attention to detail. The only "fault" is that time between starters and main meal is too short. Its like the sauces are ready and the chef cant wait to get the food out of the kitchen. Management should ask customers if they are ready for main meal before rushing.

We had a great lunch - Tiramisu was a bit average but other than that it was very good. Service was good and friendly. Happy to return and recommend to others

Poor Service , poor menu and massively overpriced, I honestly don’t know how they can keep going ! Better menu atmosphere and service in Carluccios !

Great food indifferent service. Food up to usual high standard but in a fairly quite evening we were left alone by the staff -had to wait for service and pour our own wines

Great ambience and attentive staff but our reservation had not been transmitted to them. Luckily there was plenty of room. Food was very nice especially spaghetti vongole

We had our meal on the front terrace next to the olive trees, it felt like we were abroad. The service was excellent and the food was even better. The decor and feel of the restaurant was very relaxing. I recommend the beef fillet!

Great staff, lovely dining experience. Food was good and wine/cocktail selection was excellent. Service gets slow as things get busy so don’t go with a timetable in place.
