Nakhon Thai - Royal Docks E16

this restaurant has a great atmosphere, and fabulous food. the staff were friendly there were 4 of us and we each chose a main course, along with 2 rice dishes and 1 dish of noodles found this to be plenty and we were all able to taste each dish. All in all a very pleasant experience, will definitely go again, when in the area.

Two of us enjoyed dinner at Nakhon Thai on a Thursday evening. This was our first visit, and we found a restaurant that had a genuinely Thai aroma. We sat at a small table upstairs, with a good view over the restaurant below. We were efficiently served with good typically Thai food by smiling friendly people! We chose the non vegetarian 4 course banquet which was varied and delicious.

The food was not as good as by other thai restaurants. Very expensive, but great view. Many dishes to choose from. The chicken is not very delicous, because it's cookes. You like it or hate it. We don't like the food there.

Good food well served but we found some impromptu entertainment by some of the other guests unnecessary and unwanted which should have been discouraged rather than encouraged. If I had wanted a belly dancer from The Middle East I would have gone to that style of restaurant. It was New Year’s Eve and put it down to that but I don’t think we were alone in our opinion. But it is a great Thai restaurant and it won’t stop us going on a more normal night.

I have visited many times and the food has never failed to satisfy. Views over the dock and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

I had already been here 2 years ago and I loved the food so i recommended to my family for our sisters birthday dinner venue and they absolutely loved it too Thank you to u all for your great services.

Location was great as I was at a Trade show at ExCel. Great mixed platter to start. All the main courses were delicious. Great banana pancake to finish. Good service & great atmosphere.

Delicious food. Excellent service. Beautiful décor with an excellent view. Overall they provided good value for money. The only downside was that the starter was a little bland.

Great atmosphere. Bit expensive but food was lovely. Like the decorations and river view. Would recommend to friends and family. Onsite parking available and easy to find.

Its a beautiful place great people and great service highly reccomend to others, as the food is amazingly good, also they have a great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks

A group of four went to Nakhon Thai on a Friday evening. We had a great meal, great service, great atmosphere, delicious food. Would definitely recommend.

Food was okay but customer service was very poor. Went there with my friend and after we stayed in the car to have a chat since the resturant was about to close. We got locked in the carpark.my car was parked right in front of the resturant.no one came to inform me that they will be locking the carpark. I called the number on the sign to inform we got locked in but i was rudely spoken to that what was i doing in the car.and that theres nothing they can do. I felt really disgusting .had to leave the car took a cab and came back for the car the nextday. Never going there again... I didnt go in to spend £5 i spent £100 and i got this sort of treatment

food was a little hit and miss, it would be good if they had waiters that actually knew the menu. The restaurant has a lot of potential to be something special especially in the summer time a little more TLC can go a long way. would I go again? yes I would, in the hope that the chef wasn't heavy on the salt. More chilli ;-) and music louder

The food and venue was nice. Just the portion size was a bit on the small side. Great friendly staff. I'd recommend others and would go again.

The 'view' isn't great.. even if you are seated by the window. However the great food makes up for it. The decor of the restaurant is really nice. It has an authentic Thai touch. Service at Nakhon Thai was great. Okay, so we were a party of 2 on a Monday evening and it was pretty much dead, but the staff was very polite, well versed in their menu - at least in regards with our questions. To top it all, the food was very affordable. I've had food local to me (deep in East London) which cost more, and was not nearly as good as Nakhon Thai. Fully recommend this place and I will be returning soon :)

Really friendly service, great food, particularly sharing starter and both red and green Thai curries. Would absolutely visit again if in London and docks way.

I have recently moved to Royal Victoria Docks and decided to try Nakhon Thai as it is so close to where I now live. The service was great, the food was outstanding and even the wine was exceptional. I really enjoyed my visit and will certainly be returning again and again. I am so happy that Nakhon is my local Thai restaurant!

Excellent food with very pleasant service. The menu gave a serious range of Thai specialties and on a table of 4 we had a wide spread of interesting dishes. Definitely worth a return visit.

authentic thai cuisine, friendly staff, nice surroundings near the river, rare find in this part of London, would recommend especially thai green curry and satay chicken.

Truly terrible service and the restaurant wasn't even half full. There was no shortage of wait staff, they are just disinterested. Always trying to avoid eye contact, myself and other diners had to shout over to the bar where they were stood drinking drinks (nice for them to have the option!) and generally standing around, this included what appeared to be the manager. 3 of them took the time to reset a table for 4 while the patrons sat waiting for service. I couldn't, in good faith, leave a tip for the 1 member of staff that seemed capable, because I imagine it's a shared pool where the 5 other members will get a cut for doing less than nothing. The food was okay, my pad thai tasted like they used a bottle of tomato ketchup, the duck main was overcooked - nothing "tender" about it at all, but my company did seem to enjoy her meal.

The food was delicious and the service was even better. The best Thai halal restaurant in London. The prices are very fair too. Excellent all round

My experience of Nakhon Thai was great, been a number of times and the quality is just the best every single visit. The food is fantasic and the service is great too.

Great food as always, have visited this place about 7-8 times and never fails. Tried new dishes and they were just as delicious. Manager and his staff were courteous and service was quick.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. It's in s lovely location. We sat upstairs, near the window which was pretty much requested when we got there and the staff were very accommodating. It was a beautiful view of the Royal Docks. The food along with the service was also fantastic. A must try place for sure. Cannot wait to go back when it gets warmer. Thanks Nakhon Thai!

Simply excellent Thai food served by lovely staff in a pleasant environment not too far from the Excel Hotels!! Highly recommend the place for groups of two to eight.
