Excellent Food, Excellent Service. This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were treated very well and were given several complementary dishes. We will go again when we are next in Leicester.

My wife and I really enjoyed the busy, bustling atmosphere, the food was very cheap food and we were given a number of freebies too!

Not sure how this place has so many positive reviews. We turned up on time and were ushered to a table next to the bar, which was fine as it was relatively busy. As soon as I took my seat, my dismair began. The music in the background was a kind of Asian MC, thumping my brain like some sort of Greek plate smashing backing track. I turned to the bar to check whether the draft was Kobra or kingfisher and my eyes instantly starting bleeding with horror when I seen there wasn’t a draft machine at all! I looked down at the table, and there was a plate of popadoms that had been thrown onto our table without even asking us and within 30 seconds of sitting down, the plate was still spinning at this point. I nervously broke away a small crisp of the popadom and aimed for the mint dip, to which I found myself dipping into thin air as this hadn’t been provided! I looked up and asked for a waiter, who I could only describe them as looking like they needed a good iron. They had clearly just been told to wear a white shirt, except, they weren’t white anymore. All of the waiters shirts looked like their wife’s had accidentally mixed them with the dark wash, and what’s more, most of the staff had a chow Mein like dish appealingly poured all over the front of their torso. At this point, we decided to call it a day. We seeked to get one of the waiters attention by peering over the bar full of finished plates and asked for our final bill for the crisps. We were out.

Very good overall. Fortunately we booked as there is quick turnover and the staff were very busy. They still provided good service. Nice table. A range of good freebies were provided including poppadoms straight away with 2 dips. Then followed shortly thereafter by mini onion bhajis with a dip. Starters were brought with the main to cut down on time - you really are limited to a 1.5 hour slot and the table before us were late leaving. Fortunately the people who booked our table were 30 mins late otherwise we would have felt rushed. Good mains, plenty of food, good price. Don't forget your own beers! Overall, good food, good portions, good service and good price. Recommended.

Words cannot describe the experiance i had tonight. I booked a table for me and my gurlfriend as a suprise meal. This was the nost amazing evening due to the staff at Nawaaz. The food was absolutly amazing, i have been to indian restaurants before but this was sonething else the food was amazing, service perfect, atmosphere was great. It was the first time i took my girlfriend for an indian meal, this was the best choice. We both had an amazing night, Nawaaz you truly brought the taste of indian food out tonight. Friendly staff, great menu. Lovely food. BYO alcohol. Free sides brought out which was a nice surprise and really good prices. Will definitely go back and recommend.

An excellent meal as usual. Friendly efficient staff. The generosity of complimentary dishes is extraordinary. Either go feeling very hungry or eat nothing the day before! A recommendation of a good restaurant is how well it is patronised by 'locals'. This restaurant is in spades. Fantastic value for money. Personal alcohol welcome.

We ordered the food we wanted & ended up getting much much more! Complimentary starters, vegetable side & small main dish, extra bread & rice & deserts! Unbelievable! Couldn't eat it all. I don't know how they make a profit!

Brilliant old school Indian free dishes and very reasonably priced. Book a table it was full after half an hour after opening.wil definitely be going back soon.

This is an excellent restaurant with fabulous atmosphere. The food is plentiful and delicious, the staff welcoming and the service perfect. We had a meal on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was very busy which added to the enjoyment - there was a tangible buzz about the place. I thoroughly recommend Nawaaz.

Very friendly and attentive staff, the food is freshly prepared, the King Prawns I had were amazing, cooked to perfection. On top of this, we were given starters (onion bhajis and poppadoms) for free. We were also given 2!!! additional main courses for free and a free icecream after our meal. We paid £20,50.- together!! And such little money for the amount of food we have been given!! One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to.

The food was very tasty with a large range of food on the menu. However the staff are not very friendly and are sometimes hard to communicate with. Cheap as chips though!

Nice food ,they really looked after us easy access plenty of variety .Good location for transport ,bonus to bring your own alcohol in.No rush relaxed dining experience.
