Incredible value for money and good food. Rather noisy when we were there with a large group of men celebrating something. £25.00 for 3 people. So much free food will never need to order a starter or dessert.

Brilliant restaurant, staff were incredibly friendly, and helpful with our dietary requirements (we're both vegan). Complimentary poppadoms, pakoras, saag aloo, fruit and ice cream (although we couldn't have that!). A table literally full of food for two people for about £25!! Amazing

We had excellent service and a meal that turned into a banquet. We were served several complimentary dishes beyond our order. All the food was excellent and outstanding value for money. Highly recommended. Will return again.

Nawaaz is a fabulous Indian restaurant. We had an early evening meal there, before going to a concert at De Montfort Hall, and found the food delicious. A wonderful variety of spices and other flavours. The staff were delightful and friendly and brought to the table an abundance of additional complimentary food, which gave us an opportunity to sample other lovely flavours that we would otherwise have missed out on. A true gem of a restaurant. The meal and alcoholic drinks were excellent value for money, and you can bring your own wine if you choose to. When next in Leicester, we will definitely return!

For the cost category, (modest), this is rated as very good. The quantity and variety were beyond expectation, the quality was certainly good. Pleasant staff.

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly efficient staff. This was our first visit but we were welcomed in like old friends. The food was excellent and besides our order we were treated to a few extra side dishes ‘ on the house ‘ which was a lovely touch. The prices are very reasonable and the food delicious. If we visit Leicester again we will definitely return here. I would certainly recommend Nawaaz.

The food was good, the service was great, the price was lower than expected. By chance we parked right outside but there's always De Montfort carpark if all else fails, or the bus. Only one slight irritation - the music was loud enough to have to shout a bit to talk - it should be at background level (this is important). Also, the tables are slightly too small to hold all the nice food!!

Amazing service. Everyone was friendly and made the effort to make us feel welcome. The food came fast - the free starters and the actual ones we ordered and even got a dish for free! Great value for the delicious food!

Fantastic service, and very cheap, especially as the poppadoms and bhajis were thrown in for free! However, the curry was somewhat average, so will probably avoid in future.

Service was exceptional and very friendly. The food was pretty Box standard curry, no real special culinary experience but a decent curry. It was the extra attention and complimentary side dishes that made the difference to the dining experience. It should be noted that the place is not licensed to sell alcohol so take your own (Sainsbury's opposite)

Food was a good quality, atmosphere was great, few extras while we waited (popadoms and mini onion bites) service was a little lacking due to how busy it was. Great to be able to take your own drinks.

A very enjoyable meal, made even better due to the excellent customer service. Before we had even ordered there was a trio of free dishes for us to enjoy. The food that we ordered was too, very delicious. Complimentary tandoori chicken and dessert. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Good food and friendly staff. Simple unpretentious restaurant. Liked being able to take own wine and not being ripped off for it. Had quite a bit of extra food 'on the house' which we didn't ask for but felt obliged to eat and so felt overly stuffed; they could hold back on some of the gratis dishes. Otherwise a great meal and would go back again at some point.

The staff were polite, helpful and very efficient without any fuss. The food was delicious and well presented. A cut above generic Indian offerings, including the complimentary extras, and the price was amazingly reasonable. Overall we would highly recommend Nawaaz and will be going again. Also very handy for de montfort Hall concerts- a couple of mins walk away.

Went to Nawaaz with a group of friends. Had not realised that you could take your own drink, but they had enough to satisfy our thirst. We were given poppadums and dips whilst taking in the menu, swiftly followed by complimentary Onion Bhaji's which were the best I have ever tasted, really light batter - delicious! Subsequent service was a little slow, it they did apologise that it was due to having a large wedding party in the upstairs section. Starters & mains were absolutely fabulous. Everything was so fresh, really tasty, and in some cases really spicy! Excellent value for money, Nawaaz is definitely on the top of my list now for London Road eateries.

We arrived with tired, hungry, children and were looked after so well. The complimentary popadoms and extras arrived almost as we sat down along with the drinks we ordered, which much appreciated. We had copious amounts of delicious food and it was really good value.

Excellent staff, good atmosphere and an all-round nice restaurant. The food was good and a great price. We ordered enough to fill us all for u details £10 each. Bring your own alcohol is an excellent idea and overall the experience we good. My dish wasn't as I had hoped but they gave me another dish to apologise, although unfortunately that wasn't amazing either (although I was pretty full at this point). But everyone else enjoyed theirs very much with no complaints at all.

We were visiting Leicester for the rugby and booked Nawaaz to finish off our sons 18th celebrations. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. One of our party needed to catch a train and ordered 2 starters to speed up his food. They were so accommodating of this and literally ran to the kitchen to start his food first. After placing our order we were then given lots of complimentary food! This was all delicious but as we had ordered enough to satisfy our appetites this extra food was quite a challenge! Ordered 2 large rice, got 4. Ordered 2 naan, got 4!! We were served swiftly and given ice cream desert (their compliment) without being given the chance to look at the desert menu. The manager later admitted that once we had gone he had a full restaurant so that's why he was hurrying us. Despite this, the food was excellent, the waiters lovely and we would definitely eat there again if visiting Leicester. Delicious food and rather entertaining staff.
