Lovely cosy restaurant. Nice to get away from a 'chain'. Food was great Waitress really looked after us. Would love to go back and would recommend to anyone.

Booked a table for 8pm. Food is very good althoug some menu items were not available server was friendly, service was a little slow particularly with mains & drinks however there was only 1 server on Saturday night ? Setting was a little basic but comfortable over all reasonably value for money we would return to Nicos.

Went to Nico's with friends 7pm Saturday; a few tables taken. Service efficient and menus and drinks served promptly. A bit 'put out' that when a request was made for penne pasta we were told there was only 'one portion' available - hello, an Italian restaurant early Saturday night! The Lasagne looked lovely and apparently was tasty, Nico's chicken was enjoyable and the meatballs surprisingly tasty because the appearance was very bland looking. A sprinkle of something green, ie Parsley would have made the presentation more appealing. So, in conclusion a reasonable meal, nothing you couldn't do yourself at home, staff pleasant and prices acceptable. I also thought the place was a bit 'shabby' and the tables somewhat dated. A spruce up needed I think.

Lovely people, homely atmosphere and great food! Will definitely be going again! Staff were always making sure if we were OK and needed anything. Really not a bad word to say about the place!

This is my favourite restaurant in Derby, food is beautiful and you are always made to feel welcome back the staff. It has a lovely atmosphere .

Lovely restaurant! Service was excellent, the décor was lovely, particularly liked the tables which were unique. The food was very well cooked and absolutely delicious! I will be returning!

Really fantastic independent restaurant with a very interesting menu with Italian and Mexican tinges to it. Very friendly service and tasty food to top it off at very reasonable prices.

Amazing food and lovely staff , it’s a 5 star restaurant. They were under staff the night we went and they still got the food out on time . We live in Sutton In Ashfield and it’s well worth the trip to derby. Thanks

We enjoyed our valentine evening at Nicos .Relaxed atmosphere good food and pleasent people working there would definateley go again.We also enjoyed a reasonable bottle of wine at right price as well as the food.

Fantastic evening , family run restaurant excellent foid all fresh & cooked to order Highly recommended , catered for smaller portions for children so all made welcome and eceellent value for money 8 if us ate here and it didn’t break the bank

A hidden gem. Never knew there was a restaurant there. Friendly staff, great service, excellent food, great value for money. Glad we booked as only 9 covers. Disappointed customers turned away due to being fully booked. Looking forward to return visit.

Experience was good overall just seemed a little long to wait to get a drink after arrival. It would be nice to have a drink while looking at the menu.
