Food excellent, custard rare on menus these days, marked down as coffee poor
Fabulous food and great service. We had the Sunday roast option…
Great food and great service . We will be back
Booked on the same day and requested an accessible table as we both walk with a stick and need a bit of extra room. We we greeted warmly and our host explained that our table required us to negotiate a slight ramp and a step. (Very thoughtful). The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We had the lamb pie which was delicious, melt in the mouth. Neither offer us had room for dessert so the waitress suggested we should order one to go, so we did. Lovely experience and we will be back soon. Terry and Maureen
An excellent meal. Many thanks. Lovely venue and staff. Cheers!
service was excellent as was the food, definitely recommend the northumberland arms for lunch.
Visited here for evening dining from a recommendation from a friend - amazing food, super attentive and friendly staff who looked after us and our dogs
The waiting staff were exceptionally accommodating, kind and so welcoming.
Sunday lunch was great! Definitely will be back. Staff friendly.
Food was ok. Roast potatoes and veg were all a bit hard/undercooked but staff were very polite and friendly.
Lovely Sunday Lunch. Everything was perfect, Staff very attentive & friendly.
Great food and great service always a good experience. Will be back.
Loud children and dog barking whilewe was eating not good
Good service and large portions. Quick service given how big the pub is. Dogs were very welcome too.
The starter size portion seemed very small for the price (toms, goat cheese salad) and the lamb pie although really beautifully cooked was quite salty - this sometimes happens i think if something has been made, frozen then de-frosted - it seems to concentrate any salt. I have had it previously and now i recall thinking the same. As much as i liked the pie i will definitely remember not to order next visit. Plenty of other nice things to choose from.
Excellent celebration meal, food was delicious- especially the slow roasted lamb pie :) and great service too! Will be back for sure!
You catered well for us and the requirements of a child with a specific allergy-thank you
Food good, table service very slow, which spoilt the experience.
Service was poor and slow. Fish and chips overdone, as were Yorkshire puddings
Lovely little pub & restaurant serving good food with friendly staff and a nice local atmosphere.
Lovely cozy venue. Polite & efficient staff. Disappointing menu with little meat-free choice.
Good friendly service good well presented food lovely environment reasonable price
Food, service and atmosphere all great even the dog enjoyed it.
Amazing Sunday Lunch ! Served by friendly pleasant efficient staff.
Sunday lunch was very good apart from unfortunately the roast potatoes ….. they were quite tough and hard to eat . Overall we enjoyed it and will be back to try the main menu 😊
Very good food, with interesting ingredients especially the use of pickles and fermented items.
Food and service exceptional, we always visit the Northumberland arms when we holiday in Northumberland, we have stayed here too and the rooms are gorgeous! Thanks for another lovely meal. Another lively touch- doggy friendly, and they have a menu for them too!! Thank you 5*****
We all enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast dinner yesterday. Tasty meat & freshly cooked vegetables, all well presented on the plate. Our desserts were all yummy too. Would definitely recommend The Northumberland Arms
Lovely friendly helpful staff amazing food good value definitely recommend
Delicious food as always. We love eating here and would recommend it to anyone, without hesitation. We'll be back soon hopefully!
Really lovely meal. Friendly, helpful staff. The food was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back
Very good - excellent Sunday lunch: very tasty and decent value!
Good menu, great food, good wine list, good service. Nice environment.
We were just shown to table and simply left. Had to go looking for someone to give us a menu and order drinks, despite being virtually empty. Light lunch ordered - Soup and “hot beef sandwich with fries and gravy”. Soup very tasty but the beef sandwich filling was tough. Decided not to stay for dessert and coffee as we’d planned. Travelled an hour and a half to get there but very disappointing. Won’t be back in a hurry
Lovely location , great menu with good gluten free options as my husband is coeliac . Very attentive service , will definitely return .
Service slow, vegan burger small. Nice building, but average experience overall.
Excellent, food, service and venue. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Lovely atmosphere within the pub. Clean and welcoming. Would recommend
Best Sunday lunch I’ve had and service was really good.
Brilliant pub - great food and service. Would highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and lovely Sunday lunch 👍good portion size
Food great as always but your Yorkshire puddings let you down. They’re always hard and burnt
Amazing food as always , beautiful surroundings and the staff are very welcoming . We will be back
Service was friendly and our table of 6 was seated promptly on arrival. We were informed that the restaurant was busy and that it might take a bit longer taking orders etc but we certainly didn’t notice this. Menu was varied though slightly on the higher side price wise. We had burgers, pork chops and fish and chips and everybody thoroughly enjoyed there meal. The fish and chips were fantastic with light crispy batter and perfect chips accompanied by mushy peas, tartare sauce and curry sauce and a great introduction to my brother in law who is from America and has never had them before. A lovely evening was had by all. We will be back
Truly scrumptious fish and chips. Very crispy batter, the best crunchy, chunky chips and an unexpectedly special range of condiments: lovely mushy peas, delicious tartar sauce and especially tasty curry sauce. Well worth it.
Food was great when it arrived, waited 30 mins for a main course and had to ask for more drinks rather than being asked but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Beautiful setting , staff very happy, attentive & polite , nothing a bother , the most amazing food & very good value 🥰
Great food Nice ambiance Good service Not bad value for money 2nd visit Recommend
One of the best Sunday lunches around, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
