Northumberland Arms

Our second visit this afternoon to the Northumberland Arms was just what we needed after a long walk in the cold weather. Cosy atmosphere, wholesome food and lovely staff. Can’t wait to return.

This pub is simply a gorgeous place to eat and drink. Warm and cosy, with attention to every detail. They even have a menu for dogs which are very welcome in the bar.

Booked a table for five plus two dogs, but unfortunately due to the weather one of our party couldn't make it. We all really enjoyed our meals, the staff were really friendly and they even have a doggy menu! I couldn't fault a single thing, it was a real pleasure.

Great food. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices for lunchtime.

Another lively meal at the Northumberland Arms. The lamb I had was very tasty and the Yorkshire Pudding was immense.

Not impressed with the Sunday lunch asked for roast beef it was tough and the veg was hard. Pork belly was poor, tiny amount on plate.

Went for a lunch with old school friends. Have not been for several years. On a coldish winters day we were seated next to the log burner which was nice and kept us warm! The service was attentive and sympathetic throughout. We ate from the lunchtime menu which offered enough variety for our needs. The batter on the fish and chips was the best I have tasted in many a year. The food and the attention to detail was superb and next time we have lunch out, it would be our pleasure to return.

Visited for my mum's birthday. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. Hope to return very soon.

Sunday lunch for four. Food was really tasty and well presented. Everyone in our party was very contented. Staff were very attentive and courteous. A lovely experience. Definitely worth a visit

Food was delicious - Sunday lunch was outstanding, atmosphere was very relaxed. Staff were helpful. Only didn’t put amazing because they didn’t have one of the desserts on the menu

It’s not our first visit to the Northumberland Arms and it never disappoints. Lovely ambience, amazing food and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. No surprise they are always fully booked, so book early to avoid disappointment.

We are up in Northumberland for a week's holiday and choose The Northumberland Arms for our Sunday lunch. It was absolutely delicious. One of the best we've eaten whilst eating out. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend anyone to visit here.

Wonderful food and service! Just what we needed as a treat on our road trip x

Reserved a table in the bar but put on a table in the restaurant that wasn’t set for the correct amount of diners. Staff brought wrong drinks, wrong glasses and wrong cutlery. Food was delicious but service was very disjointed and there was a comedy of errors.
