A very impressive meal served by passionate, knowledgeable and professional staff. We thought the standard of presentation was very good with a well balanced menu choice. It is a genuinely dog friendly establishment with a quirky but thoughtful doggy menu to add interest and a fun experience.

The setting is lovely and the food was faultless. The lamb pie was exceptionally good. Will definitely be back

Lovely pub always a great atmosphere. First time for Sunday lunch. Mixed thoughts really, although it was enjoyable..I think the roast potatoes were tough, yorkshire pudding was over cooked..stingy portions of vegetables for the cost..I had the vegetarian choice which was tasty but small portion...desserts nice but expensive. Pistachio lemon cake was divine...we will return but maybe try the main menu next time.

First visit for a while and first for Sunday lunch. Will definitely be back, service was excellent, food delicious. Reasonably priced too which is always a bonus. Congrats to all for a good job.

We visited on Sunday 13thJuly and both had the roast beef - one well done and one medium. We both enjoyed our meals and there were plenty of vegetables plus a large Yorkshire pudding and 2 roast potatoes. Our only complaint would be that we would have liked sharper knives.

The hotel is so lovely, spotlessly clean All the staff are really helpful and friendly couldn’t do enough for you. The room was lovely and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely food, lovely staff, enjoyed our visit, would definitely eat there again.

Staff/service were great but food was average. Lamb lacked taste. Broccoli needed a bit more cooking. Some roasties were OK but others were too hard/dried out on outside. White wine by glass needed to be properly chilled. Not sufficiently good that we'll be returning.

We ❤️ The Northumberland Arms not only for food,The Staff are a great bunch and the bedrooms are gorgeous too , we had our sons dog with us for Father’s Day who behaved beautifully whilst we ate lunch A gorgeous hotel in the heart of the Northumberland countryside well worth visiting even just for a Pint or a Gin and Tonic or whatever your tipple of choice is.

Northumberland Arms is our happy place to visit. Trevor and the team are super friendly, food is top notch including an excellent breakfast, and the rooms are spotless and at a high standard. I’d highly recommend NA to anyone looking for a home from home. Our dog, Billy, is also a firm fan. We’ll be back soon!

Great meal and wonderful food. We booked last week and messaged to say we had two dogs. I received a call around 10:40 advising they had no room for dogs at 13:30 but could take us at 12:00. Great resolution and we were happy with the communication. Thanks for a great meal. I am sure we will be back when in the area.

Quite a disappointing experience, very slow service and staff not very friendly, but food was tasty when it arrived

Lovely meal, as usual. Very attentive staff who sat us early. However when booking, I was asked if there was an occasion. I did add that it was a 90th birthday but nothing was mentioned. Enjoyed it all the same though and will be back again.

Super Sunday roast with the family. Service was great and the food was top notch. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Food was great but the service was very poor. The owner had to come and take our order for drinks and food after we had been seated for around 15 minutes after the waiting staff said she would be back to get our drink but never returned. Then waited an age for our deserts to arrive and second drink I had to ask again. Very disappointed after hearing only good things about Northumberland arms from friends.

Attended as a party of 10 for my daughter’s 16th birthday. Food and service were both excellent. Did not feel rushed at all, staff very attentive making sure we had what we needed and happy with our food.

Wonderful Sunday lunch. A warm welcome, excellent service from friendly efficient staff really tasty well cooked food. A bonus that dogs are welcomed and have their own menu. My dog had no complaints. Will definitely return.
