Lovely restaurant, excellent food. Evening slightly spoiled by a group of 6 men and women in their 50's who were ridiculously loud. It was left to a fellow diner to have a word with them rather the restaurant staff dealing with it.

Very good and interesting food. Real cooking, and a varied menu.. Service very friendly but a bit disorganised. Would definitely go again, sooner rather than later.

Great first experience. Amazing food very different to the norm. Reasonable prices too. Only quibble - tables not wiped down between courses. Will be going again very soon.

great Indian food with a slight twist which elevates it from the normal Indian restaurant, try the Mechli chicken delish !!!!!!! Service was spot on and attentive.

A fabulous meal and service. The restaurant is a cut above the "normal" Indian, the menu was interesting and different. We were a party of 4 including a coeliac sufferer and we were well looked after by attentive and friendly staff. We each had something different, although shared samosas and Bhajis to start, every selection was delightful, including the sweets. The house white was excellent and reasonably priced. Yes its a bit more than the average Indian but well worth it. THANK YOU.

Great meal, we will be back! We went for the lunch menu, which had small portions of main, side, rice/naan and a drink for 12.95 - good value and delicious.

Great, authentic food, friendly staff and good location. Can't wait to go back. Restaurant is a bit on the small side so make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment.

Great Indian food in a modern decor setting. Recommended. Get a cheesy Saag aloo on the side! Were very accommodating with a free cocktail and singing happy birthday for the birthday boy!

It was amazing night, and even know the food was different to other Indians I've been to, 3/4 of us really enjoyed it. And Staff was fantastic.

Excellent, we shared 4 starters and re ordered the lamb cutlet and giant prawns. Despite the restaurant being full we had the perfect dish each time.

Delicious food, a great atmosphere, with friendly and accommodating staff made for a very enjoyable evening. I would recommend and would definitely return. Each curry I tasted (4 in total) had a wonderful taste, my main was the pork chop vindaloo which was the perfect heat.

An excellent restaurant with some great dishes and very well presented, but you need to book. Not a traditional Indian restaurant but real class. an eating experience and everything is freshly prepared

Food was excellent, the dishes were well cooked and tended more to the spicy side. Paneer starter was juicy and they had interesting chutneys for the popadoms. For main we had khadi paneer, dhal and bindi, all very tasty! This was however undermined slightly with slow disjointed service , must remember that they are still finding their feet only opening 5 months ago.

The manager ruined our dinner because she was constantly correcting the staff with rude manners in front of the customers. We find this unprofessional. The food is average.

Fabulous starters followed by distinctly disappointing mains. Vegetarians please note, for an Indian restaurant, there is extremely limited choice. The service was swift and the decor / atmosphere good - although the acoustics are such that when the restaurant fills up the noise level is quite overpowering.

Excellent lunch very well cooked at competitive price. Very attentive service. Will come to lunch again on a Friday booking table 17. Music too intrusive especially as we were the only diners and asked for it to be turned off.

Service concentrated on selling drinks - cocktailenus ahead of food menus! Almost 1 hour wait between started and main and we complained as 1 "seafood" main had a few pieces of fish and no prawns, scallops or mussels as described. Staff good. Chef good. Menu be. Reality gap

Nutmeg is a lovely, small, independent restaurant, the staff were great, I had a fabulous Sacred Garden cocktail and the food was amazing, with some unusual vegetarian dishes. I can't fault the evening.

Good service and the food was very good. Only thing was that we were given poppadoms and chutney which we hadn't actually ordered and which were not complimentary - however they were delicious!

Absolutely love this place. We visited the first week they were open and were the only diners in the restaurant so had the full attention of the owner and team. Tonight they were full and the attention to detail with the service was the same - the flavours are fresh and balanced, great choice within the menu, fabulous cocktails. A first rate addition to the Clifton restaurant scene.

Much anticipated visit to Nutmeg. Food was delicious but unfortunately ambience not. Was seated updstairs on a table for 2 that felt like an afterthought. I like to sit opposite my date not next too them and the staff serving other tables having to pass so closely made the experience uncomfortable. The temperature was also far too warm. Note, ask for a table downstairs next time.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and lush food. A different take on some classic dishes and generous portions which could be a little large for some as if like me you like to have side dishes to try out too. Lovely would and have already recommend.

The staff were friendly and welcoming but the service was very slow. One hour between starter and main course. There was one stage when not one table downstairs had food on it! The quality of the food was very good but it just took too long to get it.

Super, innovative Indian food with a twist with the most amazing individual flavours. Excellent and friendly service. Good choice of wine but some more Indian beer apart from just Kingfisher would be a good idea. We will definitely be back again.
