Very efficient charming waitress so knowledgable about menu. Plenty of choice, not the usual Indian menu but rather different regions cooking, a nice change We will return

The restaurant is lovely, beautiful decor, the food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, my favourite restaurant .

Booked our table for 845pm, not ready, suggested we went to their bar around the corner where we would be given a discount, returned to find we had another wait of 5/10 minutes and eventually seated. Very noisy and could hardly hear each other speak although the food was delicious. Perhaps trying to pack too many covers in.

Amazing food, we went for the the taster menu. Highly recommend it. Wonderful range of tastes, lovely staff and a great setting. I can’t think of a down side!

Just the most Perfect evening, nutmeg is fantastic, it has excellent menu and staff. The menu is layered with flavour and aromatic combinations, and the staff have great knowledge and are able to advise you in your choices and drinks pairing. it’s different to most other restaurants in so many ways. The best option is to try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

We had an early booking as we’d been busy all day. We were shown to our table quickly and given menus. We were asked if we wanted poppadoms & chutneys, we replied yes. They arrived but when it rains, they go slightly soft from having stood around, my husband went to have a quiet word & they were more than happy to change them. Service was faultless but the new young staff were not very attentive, when service was required, it took several attempts to attract their attention. Food was tasty & fantastic as usual. The atmosphere & ambience were great & the place filled up pretty quickly.

Lovely food and a great opportunity to try dishes from a specific part of India as the tasting menu moves from one region to another every few months. Interesting and unusual cocktails. Excellent service and a very warm welcome from manager Ellie.

This was a booked table for two for supper. We requested a quiet table which we didn't get. It was extremely noisey. The service was also very slow. But the food was excellent vegetarian curry, cod curry, white rice & nan washed down with Kingfisher. Next time we will try a less busy period

Fantastic food! Would have been full marks but the service was slow at times with staff setting tables rather than bringing drinks to upstairs tables.

This was our fourth time of eating at Nutmeg.Once again,the food was excellent.The service was outstanding and we are really looking forward to having a meal there again soon.Cannot fault anything at all.

Excellent food, but very poor service. Food is fantastic, but service doesn’t match. Waiting 15 minutes for drinks order, waited 35 minutes for mains with no offer of more drinks, or taking empty plates away.

Great ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable staff, delicious food! I’ve recently moved to Bristol and was recommended this restaurant as one of the best Indians in the city. It did not disappoint! The menu is not too overwhelming with a good balance of classic and slightly more unusual dishes. We ordered of the a la carte, but the taster menu looked wonderful as well. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, and our food came out in a timely manner despite the busy restaurant. Everything we got was delicious, and the pricing isn’t outrageous either. Would highly recommend!

As good as last time, food was delicious, lamb starter was so tender. Cannot fault the food in any way but did fancy the drinks were a little on the dear side. Would still go back though.

Best Indian food I’ve tasted in a long while. Diffent to your normal Indian but the best. The chef special prawn dish was absolutely amazing.

Great restaurant. Service was fantastic and food stunning whilst remaining competitively priced. Can not recommend highly enough. The monkfish is incredible. Speak to the waiting staff who will give good recommendations. Fabulous restaurant.

Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and the food was great. Gets busy though so make sure to reserve a table. Not a massive menu selection but there is something for everyone.

I’m a Midlands man so I know good curry. This blew anything I’ve had out of the water. You will not be disappointed. Service, food, atmosphere and excellently priced.

Delicious Indian Food, Very well Presented. Enjoyed the ambience, tasted of the dishes and their authenticity. The portion sizes were good and the pricing was just apt considering the quality of food served. The service was very good as well. So, it ticked all our boxes !

Food was fantastic but disappointed with our table being sat right by the door. But everything else very good. Staff very helpful with advising what to order.

Food was great but I felt we were forgotten. Other larger tables got lots of attention and we had to repeatedly catch the eye of the staff. Food wise we had the tasting menu which was a great way to experience lots of different dishes, and it’s tasted very nice!

Excellent food and service. They have some milder dishes but most were quite hot - even the tandoori items. The menu could do with a heat guide, that said the staff were very helpful when choosing dishes. Nutmeg had a good selection of drinks and desserts. If you like authentic fresh Indian cuisine with a modern twist this is the place for you.

Delicious freshly cooked food and interesting menu. The saffron gin and tonics were lovely. Attentive service too. Tried a variety of dishes and all were very good.

Amazing food! Highly recommended! The curries are the best in town... perfection Atmosphere was lovely. They have a cocktail menu but will make you any cocktail you like.

We were a large group but very well looked after. The food was amazing and all explained perfectly if we had questions. The service was quick and efficient and delivered with a smile. I’ll certainly be back.
