Wonderful food with a small choice of interesting beers. Very friendly and efficient staff . A little on the small side so can get noisy

Food was excellent and came out very quickly. Atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Only slight issue was that it was very busy so the staff weren’t readily availible to provide further assistance.

The food was out of this world! Delicious! And the service was excellent too. I can thoroughly recommend nutmeg and cannot wait to go back as soon as I can!

Second time for me at Nutmeg and I absolutely love everything about it.The food is incredible and I want to work my way through the whole menu.Staff and service are excellent too.Cant find a single fault.Maybe a taj more expensive than other Indian restaurants but it's worth every penny.

Lovely lovely food! Easy to book too! Rapid service. The mezanine upstairs can be quite loud, maybe ask for a seat downstairs! I would go back 100%!

Service great, Food great. But - Table for 8 was available when we arrived but was at the back of the restaurant and we had to slide in and out to get to the loo. I booked a month ahead so expected a better table.

The staff were really nice and friendly, i didn't feel rushed. Food and cocktails were lovely. A nice overall experience with no complaints. Food tasted authentic.

We had the sample menu, and loved it. Staff were very knowledgeable and looked after us throughout our evening. Would recommend as a 5 star restaurant to anyone wishing to indulge in truly wonderful foods

Excellent food, highly recommend the chicken chettinadu. Service a little hit and miss - friendly, but busy Friday night and we were sat right in the back corner of the restaurant so quite difficult to get anyone's attention. From being seated to getting main course was around 45 minutes, and had to ask twice for a few things.

Disappointing, overpriced. Poor service. Will not be returning. Naan was tough as though it had been in a microwave too long. Complained but was still charged for it.

Incredible food, great for those with dietary requirements (I am GF and vegan and there was so much to choose from!!) and such wonderful service. Would 100% recommend and will DEFINITELY be going back! Such a lush place.

Lovely restaurant with relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Clifton. Very good food with unusual flavours presented in a modern way - not your average Indian. Not cheap but worth it for a good evening out. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Looking forward to going again.

Excellent meal from the fixed menu. Just the right amount of food in total and a great range of flavors. Perfect amount of spice to appreciate the taste and not overpower the palate.

I booked a table for 10 initially and extended it to 16 with no issues. Staff looked after us brilliantly and the food was a hit all around. My friend and I were celebrating a joint birthday and enjoyed the tasting menu and complimentary glasses of bubbly (really lovely, whatever it was). After sampling a little bit of some of the other dishes too, I can’t wait to return. Thoroughly recommend Nutmeg for a beautifully executed Indian meal in a relaxed and friendly environment. Oh, and we saw 3D from Massive Attack in there as another bonus!

Food is always amazing when we come here can not fault that and who I believe was the manager that evening was very helpful and attentive but our actual waitress who was assigned to our table was obviously new, she forgot to take my food order before she left after taking everyone else’s and after a guest at our table had finished his starter, she picked up his clean forks and left his dirty ones and went on to express that he hadused the wrong cutlery, so it appeared she was going to leave him with dirty cutlery to go into his main with until my partner made a point that she bring fresh cutlery over.

Truly authentic Indian taste in all of Bristol. Chefs and staff are welcoming and makes it feel at home in true Indian spirits and hospitality. Good variety of menu picked from all parts of India.

Good food and great service served in comfortable surroundings in an interesting part of Bristol. Good value for the innovative quality of the preparation of the dishes.

Second visit we went for the set menu as you get to try different dishes it was all delicious. The staff were brilliant from start to finish explaining each dish and advising what wine to accompany the meal providing an all round good service

Really nice food but slightly expensive main dishes. Great atmosphere though. Could maybe do with a larger range of breads and side dishes. Would reccomend the Methi Chicken!

Good service and authentic food. Went for the taster menu where the starters were excellent but the main course was disappointing. It was my first time and i would go again however, would select from the main menu.

The absolute best Indian food in Bristol, nothing else compares. The best lamb chops I've ever had, hands down. Don't bother with anywhere else! Service is excellent, very knowledgeable staff.

Simply a great resteraunt with proud ownership and staff - a lovely celebration of our 20th Anniversary ... will be back soon. Food is interesting and tasty.

We went for lunch and it was quiet so service was quick. The food was tasty and good quality. The price was reasonable and the service was nice.

Amazing beef madras and dahl, and good service. Been twice so far and will go again. Odd musty smell but that's the only negative for me.

Lovely food but tables are really squashed together. Should have more space, conversation clearly heard at next table. Needed to speak up to talk to companion.

Stunning food, lovely atmosphere, great location. Particularly recommend the biryani dishes. The King prawn biryani was superb - juicy prawns and flavoursome rice cooked in its own pot with a sealed crust. Yum!

always a good vibe in this popular restaurant. slightly disappointed with the samosas, the filling was excellent but the casing a bit too 'doughy' for my taste. my main course, the king prawns from the chef specials was superb.

The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and very enthusiastic. The food was delicious and a lot lighter than most curry houses so you dont leave feeling too heavy and full. The only issue was that the waitress had recommended two dishes for my friends based on what type of curry they usually prefer, but when the food came the waiter who put the food down wasnt sure which was which so they ended up eating the wrong meals. About 10 minutes later the original waitress corrected the mistake which was fine. We will all definitely be going back!

Stomach issues. Excellent food but two people in our party were poorly within hours of eating. We had not been with these people before that night so seems unlikely that it was a coincidence but you never know. Restaurant was thorough in their response but could find no issues.

Great food. Service really good. Accommodated 4 of us who were a bit rowdy after an all dayer watching rugby with ease . Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic meal at Nutmeg. The menus for food & drinks were big and the choices we made were all delicious. The price was really reasonable as well for the quality. Will look forward to returning.

Not a standard curry house,more like a genuine Indian restaurant. Enjoyed the food, found the service a bit awkward and slow. Will definitely look forward to another visit.

Beautiful and unique food, coupled with excellent customer service. Very informative about food allergens a great option for our group who had a Coeliac specific requirement.

I been to nutmeg a few times and always enjoyed the experience. I have also recommended it to a number of other people. However this time on a very special occasion we were disappointed ok the service and some dishes.

Fantastic meal, Knowledgeable and efficient staff made for a memorable dining experience. All the dishes were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines by the glass to match all the dishes on the menu.

Overall a lovely restaurant and really food delicious. Unfortunately the service was slowish and we were sat at a table in the back of the restaurant where it felt crammed in to enable as many customers as possible to be seated into the space (our table was squashed in in front of a door that was accessed several time during our meal) resulting in it being very very noisy.
