Oliver's Restaurant & Fagin's Wine Bar

So glad this lovely restaurant was recommended to us. Beautiful restaurant, amazing food at really reasonable prices. It’s obvious that they use quality ingredients cooked fresh. Service is great. Really need to book for weekends and evenings. Well worth a visit. Even though we’re not locals we will become regulars.

We have been to Oliver’s and Fagins many times as the staff are lovely and the food is always spot on. I cannot remember any time when the food was not great

Excellent service, food was amazing. Massive drink/cocktail selection. Will definitely be going again even if it's just for the mashed potato.

We had a lovely 3 course meal with Prosecco, great menu with lots of choice for all 3 courses , beautiful restaurant, immaculately clean and excellent service and a lovely relaxing meal . We will def return .All 5 people enjoyed their choices too.

Love this restaurant. I have lunch with a friend every Sunday. We were running out of places that were good. A friend recommended this restaurant. Been several times now, food always good, staff lovely and great value for money. Can get a little noisy as it’s popular with big family groups but doesn’t put us off at all. Would highly recommend.

Food lovey, waitress lovely, slight mix up with one meal but quickly rectified and restaurant was very busy, but did not expect to have karaoke, if that’s what l wanted on an evening out I would go to Benidorm not a nice restaurant in Penketh

As usual the staff were very polite and courteous. The food and drinks arrived promptly. Food was piping hot and tasty.

I loved our visit to Oliver's. The food was amazing! I chose chicken and it was so delicious. I also had too coctails- Mojito and strawberry daiquiri - the latter was so good! The hazelnut parfait was amazing too. We never had eaten it before and just chose blindly but it was very tasty. The service was very good too- quick and friendly! The atmosphere was great too. I love Oliver's!!! Can't wait for our next visit! :) xx

We both had fish and chips. The fish and batter were superb. We prebooked and were greeted with a smile. The service was great and we left very happy chappies.

I booked in advance the afternoon tea as a gift for my mum's birthday. We arrived and they had our booking but they did not know it was for afternoon tea even though I chose that option on the website, the restaurant said I should of but on therssage request that we request afternoon tea! Because they wasn't aware, they couldn't do the afternoon tea so we had to have the lunch menu. This was very disappointing as when we last dived in the restaurant in march we seen the afternoon tea and said we would come back, so I arranged as a treat fory mum's birthday present. I did feel like the owner was saying it was my fault and compared someone else's booking to mine by printing them both off and showing me as we was sat down in the restaurant. This spoilt our experience of going thereand the day.

Staff lovely, service good, food nice but could have been hotter. 2 course sunday lunch is a good price but being charged £4.25 for a side of mash that i thought was part of a roast dinner is a bit expensive i think

We were one of only 2 tables in the restaurant on the evening of our visit (10th December 2022). The weather was icy and cold outside and England were playing a World Cup football match so I don't know if that had any influence on how quiet the restaurant was. Unfortunately, the heating had also failed earlier on in the day so the restaurant was very cold which didn't make it a very comfortable dining experience as my party and I had to eat our meal whilst still wearing our coats. The staff who served us were all very apologetic and also cold themselves, however, their apologies didn't fix the problem!! We were given a free round of drinks by way of a goodwill gesture, however, this was only prompted by one of our party complaining about the cold restaurant environment. On a positive note, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We have visited Oliver's on various occasions and have had no complaints, however, had this been our first visit it is highly unlikely that we would be in a hurry to return.
