Ostlers at Number 1

A great restaurant with a friendly welcome, a good choice of menu and excellent food. All of the dishes were superbly prepared and presented for us. Well done to everyone at Ostlers.

Perfect evening, perfect food! Been wanting to visit for a long time, finally got there and I didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Excellent.

Great food warm welcome service a little slow but they we’re busy and it was defiantly worth the wait our only criticism is regards to we’re we sat close to the kitchen entrance lots of coming and goings not particularly a problem however the door banged every time very distracting and annoying

We had a really great meal. The food was excellent, as was the service. Shame we couldn't fit in pudding as the portions are big for lunch.

Food really was v good. It's just the whole thing was v v slow. We arrived for our table at 830pm and didn't get our main course until 1015. Staff understanding but our friends had to leave.

We used to regulars many years ago when we lived round the corner, so after a morning of giraffe spotting, we thought we would go back with the extended family (and some picky eaters). We had an excellent Sunday lunch with superb quality food well cooked, which even managed to keep the picky eaters very happy. Service was very good as well. We will return and look forward to trying more of their menu.

Enjoyed the meal, service was a bit slow, food was of a very high standard. Lovely setting. Kept on changing our time which was annoying.

Fabulous evening, excellent food and atmosphere. A bit of a hiccup in the kitchen which delayed the food but it was well worth the wait.

Very good service, and food was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to my friends . The only downside for me was the menu was a bit limited.

Lovely little restaurant with good parking facilities. Food is excellent with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The staff are always friendly and helpful we have been numerous times and will be attend again soon.

We went on a Sunday so had the Sunday lunch menu Excellent service and the food was excellent too. Our first visit we will definitely go again on a week day to try their other menus

Fantastic food with great service ! Reasonably priced wine, genuinely a refreshingly lovely experience. This was our 2nd visit and will without doubt not be the last. Very well done.

Outstanding food but the service didn’t seem to match expectations and price! Booked online and meal pushed back 30 minutes with no warning? Long delay for food. Did get free glass of prosecco.

The food was absolutely fantastic couldn’t fault it. Wish they put all the specials written down instead of verbal One negative don’t serve the coffee in mugs!!!

Great food and good service, a very enjoyable evening. My husband especially enjoyed the soft shelled crabs starter, he'd not had these since working in Vietnam.

Great food as usual, staff quite good but in the past we've had better, however appreciate that it was busier and it's great to give youngsters a good working experience and they all looked happy to be there.

Excellent meal. Very friendly staff. Well presented, interesting food that you don’t have to fall down on your knees and worship, simply enjoy. The blackberry sorbet between starter and main was a lovely palate cleanser and an interesting flavour. Also, lovely sorbet spoons. The waiter, Ben, was friendly and with just the right measure of gentle banter and unobtrusiveness. A lot of thought has gone into how the whole experience is presented to give you the right amount of fine dining and relaxed evening.

Our whole evening was fantastic , excellent staff and the food did not disappoint, beautiful .The atmosphere and the decoration matched the service perfectly , highly recommend for celebrations of all types , from romantic to party celebrations .

This was our first experience of dining at Ostlers At No 1 and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we arrived everything was wonderful - the food, wine and staff are all exceptional. Thank you to all involved for a fabulous evening.
