The staff that were there did their best. But.....we were told they were very short staffed, no tables had been cleared when we arrived at our booked time, there was no house lager, the ale my husband ordered was bad. Our food arrived before my husbands replacement drink which was also bad. My husbands steak was also overcooked.

Lunch time meal for 4. All took advantage of the £1 per ounce deal. Food was very good.

Food fabulous as always, sat in bar area which was noisy and uncomfortable. Chair kept falling down hole in floor. Really unfortunate as it was for a birthday, we ate and left as soon as we could rather than staying for cocktails

We go to ounce once or twice a month and have never had a bad experience,great food great staff and sensible money on pound an ounce night. Have to book in advance , very popular.

Fantastic food, scallops and fillet that melt on the tongue. Attentive service, even when you forget. Altogether a great experience. Great for lunch if shopping or for dinner if going to the Swan Theatre.

Very pleasant staff and nice atmosphere The steaks were amazing very tasty overall. However not somewhere we could visit regularly as not cheap bill but went as for a special occasion

Yes the steak way ok bit fatty and with the offer on £1 a ounce is good but it only comes with chip and no salad to make it a bit more presentable with was a shock that there wasn't any....And to had a sauce is a bit over the top on price think it was around £5

Great fillet and Dexter sirloin. Price of butcher’s cut was very good but not that tender. It was a bit chewy. Staff friendly but rushed off their feet. We had to remind them of mustard and water orders. Place had a great atmosphere- where else do you go on a Tuesday night that is heaving - really busy. We will return.

Becoming a bit of a regular haunt for us but for good reason! Sunday lunch is always good, as are the staff and the surroundings.

We were seated early for our table which was great. Ordered drinks promptly - these took quite a while to arrive. A very friendly bar man bought them over and analogised for the delay. Ordered our meal and it came within reasonable time. We had 3 Sunday roasts, 2 were braised beef. I have never had braised beef like it, it was over seasoned which completely over powered the taste of beef, the texture of it was very unpleasant and the appearance was that of a giant meatball - this however is personal taste but I would absolutely avoid. The sides were delicious however we asked for a serving spoon for the saucy cauliflower cheese to be told there’s no spoons, how are we meant to pick up a boiling hot skillet to get it onto our plates with the sauce? The waitress then threw down a tea spoon and walked away in a huff, not even time to say thank you. What sort of establishment runs out of essential utensils? We also asked for extra gravy- this came at a cost of £5 which we were shocked at on the bill. Upon leaving, the place was filthy, food on the floor, every single table had dirty glasses and plates, the bar was full of dirty glasses. Not a very pleasant experience from certain staff members, lack of basic utensils, the cleanliness- this has really put me off re visiting somewhere I was so looking forward to going for several weeks. Really didn’t live up to its reputation.

Waited ten minutes before someone had come over to ask if we were ok for drinks even though no one had come over to ask..No menu given, no drinks asked and no tap water either. We were seated right by the entrance and out of the main seating area so really felt like we were just plonked out the way. Very disappointing given this was our first experience at dining here and booked especially for Father's Day because of the wonderful reviews. When the food did arrive, the veg was cold as was the kids Mac and Cheese and the chicken was too salty. So unfortunately for us not the experience we’d hoped for and expected. :(

standard high as usual. the new beef croquettes were excellent and added an extra flavour level to the meal. service was fine but the star of the show was the steaks yet again

first time with any issues here, steaks and drinks were fine, desserts weren’t the best on this occasion, 2 brownies ordered, 1 edible but not great,but the other was stone cold and rock hard to the extent couldnt even cut it. the other 2 desserts were fine. service wasn’t great on this particular occasion too, but it was extremely busy so understandable

We always enjoy a meal at Ounce! Staff are super friendly, food and drinks of excellent quality, this time we made comment to how good the barman was with his smile and good customer service, you could see he put care into his work and enjoyed his job.

Still the Best steak in Worcester and the mash is amazing !

The service was disappointing. Waited one & half hours. Forgotten.

Excellent food and service. However, the overall experience was somewhat spoilt by the disgusting foul conversation the two couples at the next table were having. My wife told them we were trying to eat food and didn’t wish to hear people talking in extremely loud voices about occasions when they were being sick having drunk too much beer. The disgusting creatures did quieten down after this.
