Good quality food from a small but varied menu. Decent wines from largely Italian sources. Attentive service. A lively atmosphere bordering on the noisy, owing to the extremely busy nature of the restaurant even though it was mid week. The style of decor is quite minimalist and allows sound to bounce about the room which can make it hard to hear fellow diners

The food was ok, the chicken I ordered had too much oil on it and the salad looked like it had been pulled straight out of a Tesco bag. Desert was good, but overall the experience was fairly average.

The Food was Delicious and the service was warm and friendly. Being an old school Italian, i would have liked more meat on the menu. Though i did go for the creamy mushroom rissotto which i loved. We have been here before and will be going again.

Lovely simple Italian food - no fuss or ponce. Great cocktails to boot. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We will go again for sure. Thank you.

Amazing food and service. Staff at both the bar downstairs and restaurant were really friendly and helpful in helping decide what to have. We were a table of 9 and had great time.

The staff were really helpful and likeable and went out of way to find best table for us. Did everything to make great evening. The food was as ever, divine. Spaghetti vongole was superb.

Excellent food, excellent service. My boyfriend loves the meatballs in particular. It is a little noisy but there was a large party on the night we went, so couldn't be helped. Overall it's a lovely place.

First time in Paesan, really impressed by the place, and the quality of food and drinks. There is not much to choose in terms of Pasta, but the dishes were great. Couldn't say no to the happy hour! The drinks were very good and affordable. The staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Great food and great service. Both the meze plate and the fresh eggplant spaghetti were fantastic. Service was quick and friendly and they offered us two for one drinks at the bar!

Good, helpful and efficient service. Waiting staff attentive and approachable. The beetroot and goats cheese salad was tasty and the mushroom risotto excellent. Wine list reasonably priced and interesting.

This was our second visit to Paesan, we will definitely be returning. With great service and beautiful food this is fast becoming one of our favourite restaurants.

Great evening spent at Paesan, and great to drop on the 2 4 1 cocktails that were on at the time. Atmosphere was great along with service.

Paesan is a lovely restaurant. The service was great, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, the menu has a lot of different dishes to choose from. The bar downstairs also has a happy hour until 8pm, where you are able to go before hand and bring your drinks up to the restaurant. The atmosphere was really relaxing, music and lighting was just right.

The food was great as were the cocktails during happy hour but the service was incredibly slow! We waited over 25 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink, some drinks orders were lost as it got busier and then the waiter had the cheek to hurry us up to free up the table!

Another excellent meal with the chefs adapting what the fish is served with to suit my preference. Thank you

Lovely, low-lit, cozy restaurant. Nice menu and very flexible, helpful servers, especially with allergies! The food is delicious (seriously I hate kale and black kale is a wonder), and the drinks menu is unusual, in a good way.

Outstanding food and really friendly service. The papardelle with shin of beef ragu was spectacular! Good range of wine. All very reasonably priced as well- I would certainly go back!

Easy to book, close to home, we had a good table, both had good food, and the server recommended a decent wine. It wasn't life changing, but we'll be going back with friends.

The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. A definite for a return visit. We loved the focaccia, the meat and cheese combo platter and the affogato dessert.

Had an early pre-theatre dinner here on a Monday night. As usual, we were treated as if we were invited guests of the house. The service was subtle but exceptional, and the food--as always--was terrific (sea bass, vongole, risotto on this visit were all first-rate). I've eaten here half a dozen times since 2014, and at every visit I've left thinking, "Paesan is even better than I remember!" This is the place for a top-notch dining experience at a relatively affordable cost, and service aimed directly at making customers feel appreciated, first and foremost.

Third visit to Paesan and it managed to remedy a disastrous birthday night-out from the previous evening. It's exactly what I go there for - authentic, tasty food with a casual atmosphere and friendly staff. The service is timely and yet relaxed and I always leave with buzzing tastebuds and a full belly! I love that the menu is seasonal so you get slight changes and rotations to keep it fresh. Never actually been to the late-bar downstairs but it's great that there's the two separate options. Highly recommended if you want to sample authentic regional Italian dishes :)

Food was awesome, atmosphere really cool, and loved how the restaurant looked like. It was a great experience, and I would go there again without a doubt.

Delicious food and a cozy, rustic chic vibe! I highly recommend the risotto and try to leave room for the yummy desserts. We will be back to grab a drink in the basement too!

Food as always was very good but service was a little scatty and portions were quite small. I come here often but might be time to try somewhere new....

Amazing pasta and great atmosphere for a family dinner. Wine was superb and the starter were very delicious. Try fresh pasta rather then a meat or fish main.

Really nice restaurant with lots of atmosphere. The menu is really good and the food was great, as was the service. All very reasonably priced.

Good option option for an informal business lunch. Efficient service and short menu that still manages to cover lots of Italian bases. Set menu very good value. Great selection of wines by the glass. Food was of a pretty high standard. Would have been perfect if my pappardelle had been served with the shin of beef ragu stirred through, rather than in a dense clump with the beef on top. A lighter hand needed in the serving, not the cooking. The sort of attention to detail that separates the great from the good. But this place is at the upper end of good

The service was amazing- everyone was so friendly and attentive in both the bar and restaurant. The food was fantastic quality and good value. I would definitely go again!
