Tourists swarm to see your face / Confucius has such a puzzling grace / Disoriented you enter in / Unleashing scent of wild jasmine. So go the lyrics to Siouxsie and the Banshees post-punk gem Hong Kong Garden, but all you have to do is change the name of the Asian city involved and, voila, you’ve got one of Stockport’s finest Chinese restaurants immortalised in song. There are two outposts of Peking Garden, one in Bramhall and one here in Hazel Grove, up on Macclesfield Road. The most popular dish at this popular restaurant is the Mongolian lamb, and Peking Garden know how to please – after all they’ve been around since 1988 – with the fantastically good value Sunday buffet lunch attracting hordes of local families. That said, reservations are recommended.
We all really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were very attentive and the food was really good quality. The Sunday buffet is great value.
Beautiful food, lovely environment and attentive staff. Will go again!
