The food and service was excellent. We have booked online for a table and then when we arrived we did not have to wait for a long time. The dishes were something different than ordinary food and good quality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Restaurant has changed hands, but fortunately the food is as good as ever. All three dishes of the highest quality. New format seems to work too.

Pretty darned good. Food was nice, wine was light and a good price for a Pinot Noir; not sure about the refresh r.e. lighting though. And boy-oh-boy was it HOT inside. A/C needs to be whacked up a bit! Otherwise fab. Thanks. And especially for the price!

Very good welcome by the staff, drinks ordered and served promptly. Great selection on the menu and after ordering the starters arrived very promptly and were very enjoyable. Very soon after being cleared the main courses arrived, and we all enjoyed our choices. The fillet steak with blue cheese was cooked perfectly (for some reason I personally didn't like the bacon and thought it unnecessary); the lamb and chicken dishes were well received. No room for sweet unfortunately but a Bailey's coffee topped it all off nicely! The only thing I would say was that it all felt a little bit 'rushed'. We were the last to leave the restaurant and I had a feeling that the staff were going to party! The decor was pretty standard but having said all that I would travel from Derby to pay another visit and would recommend.

Interesting upstairs room. A few too many tables to be honest. But nice friendly service and a decent menu. Most importantly, the food was perfectly cooked and well presented and excellent value for money. Worth a visit certainly before or after a theatre or cinema visit.

Fabulous lunch as always. The pork starter and also the quail were superb, as were the main courses and desserts. The house white wine is extremely good too. What more can I say.

A pleasant atmosphere, if a little chaotic. Minute steak over cooked and rather gristly. Lovely desserts. Good value for money. The staff were polite and welcoming.

I have always liked this restaurant. It has been refurbished a bit since I last went and that has been well done. The food was very good as always with a decent choice at the basic prices as well as interesting dishes at a supplement. The service was excellent.

Delicious food and fantastic menu. Beautiful presentation and full of flavour so full marks for food. Staff very polite and friendly but as was busy, it was slower service at first, which is only reason for not giving full marks overall.

An excellent Sunday lunch. It’s a shame you see others apparently unable to use a knife and fork. Quite why you would wish to tackle the entire meal with only a fork remains a mystery!

As always great food, very flavoursome. Great service too. I had lemon sole and my colleague had lamb. His lamb was cooked as requested and was very tender. My lemon sole was well complimented by a great sauce and veg.

Yesterday evening I went with a friend for a pre-theatre meal, table booked for 17:30; greeted by the friendly staff. Restaurant filled up rather quickly. We both ordered the creamy vegetable soup, followed by the lasagne (good flavour and consistency, moist but not runny) and shared a bowl of fries. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert! Excellence service and by the end of the meal we were planning our next visit.

Excellent food and service as always. Been coming for over 20 years now. The new owners are making some good changes, whilst still retaining the essential character of Petit Paris. More background French music (jazz, bistro) would add even more appeal.

Food was fantastic very very pleased with quality, all presented beautifully. Had a very nice bottle of Prosecco . Staff very friendly . Only minus was as a couple, the seats are very very close together, however on request we were moved to another spot which had a little more space around.

A nice cosy warm atmosphere and they have the nicest red house wine I've tasted. We both had the goats cheese starter and main was pork (very lean) and aubergine (v) and nice not to have cheese as a all back which a lot of places do. The food was very nicely presented with a regular menu change and a daily special fish dish which cost a little extra but well worth it.

This is a genuine French restaurant with good quality food at reasonable prices, and nice wine. The menu is not extensive, but there is plenty of choice and at £17 for three courses we thought it very good value. Woudl certainly return.
