The Po’Boy is a New Orleans classic – a Nawlins classic, if you will – and while the Dear Green Place may be a long way from The Big Easy, you can get yourself a taste of the bayou on the banks of the Clyde at Po’Boyz in Partick. The Po’Boy itself is a sandwich, but as with everything American, the simple description doesn’t really do it justice: this is a sandwich writ large, stuffed with shrimp or beef brisket and served with coleslaw and Cajun mayo on a fresh ciabatta bun. There are other American classics beside: burgers, Creole jambalaya, slow-cooked chicken and even a Scottish-Cajun crossover in the form of catfish and chips. Pay them a visit in the Broomhill Shopping Centre on Norby Road in Partick and get ready to enjoy of the the best American restaurants in Glasgow. Remember to book a table ahead of time though, as they do get crowded on occasion.
Restaurant very quiet we were only diners meal was served by friendly barman/waiter. Starters of buffalo wings and Bacon Bomb (I think that it was called) were delicious and ample portions. Only complaint was the huge amount wedges served left little room for cutting steak but all in all an enjoyable meal
Food was nice, but selection was very carb-heavy. Maybe could so with some lighter options, especially for starters. Filling this review up with extra words.
