This was my first visit to Portofino and I was suitably impressed. Good ambience delicious food and helpful friendly staff. Would not hesitate to recommend Portofino for a delightful good value experience. We had the £14.95 lunch which was excellent.

I booked a table for 3 at short notice. Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by our server for the evening. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was most welcoming, very friendly and professional. We were offered a choice of two tables. He returned after a few minutes to take our drinks order. Again he returned a few minutes later to take our food order. We each ordered a starter and a main. The food arrived quickly, the presentation was immaculate and the taste was 10/10. It was the perfect temperature and we all expressed how delicious our individual choices were. We weren't rushed at all and when. We were fikk up we were offered to take our left overs a home in a box which I did. We had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic, the service brilliant and the cost was less than we expected for the experience and the size of the portions. We will definitely be returning.

Food was good but management poor. Several booked parties including us turned up on time and no tables were free. When sorted the delay to food service was unacceptable.

Really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere. One hiccup with the starter tomato garlic bread which was more Brushetta than garlic bread but a great meal otherwise. Amazing ice cream!

Greeted warmly by waiter to an almost deserted place. It was 6pm and pre-theatre, so not really surprised. Was given the choice if where to sit. Waiter arrived shortly after to take drinks order, but we were ready to order food too. First course arrived quickly. Very tasty and good amount. Main arrived a few mins after we finished...same deal. Good portion sizes and very tasty. Bill was very reasonable. Will certainly return.

Food was average. Service was horrendous, long waits for everything, no menus given - had to go up and ask, had to ask to order drinks and food, wrong side dish ordered, mains came before starters were cleared, long wait for another drink.

My wife and I went with friends for a meal before going to a show, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious.

Visited with two teenagers and one younger child. The atmosphere was, calm and relaxing and the staff welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, portion sizes very good and overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing meal.

Had a lovely meal tonight at Portofinos. We had starters and a main and all the food was delicious. The children's' meals were brought out with our starters so the children could start eating with us, which was great. All the staff were lovely and very attentive. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was presented very cosy. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful meal...the Risotto was amazing ,and the Lasagne was amazing aswell and service was spot on
