The food was good, the restaurant was very quiet so the there was not a lot of atmosphere. The staff were friendly. We will definitely go back.
The food was very nice service not when the starters arrived my wife was told hers would be 2 mins I had tikka starter wife ordered samosa hers was 15 mins later by that time I had eaten mine and she had eaten just her salad side then same thing with main meal wife's meal came with her rice mine came without chips told they would be soon after asking twice they finally came my wife had nearly finished her meal this was at 6-30 and place was quiet god help them when they are busy we told the waiter who basically wasn't interested
Food is always good. That's why I use the Purple Pakora but timing for ordering was slow and it took long time to be served hot drink. I understand that their coffee machine was broken but they need to update customers as soon as possible.
Lovely food as usual so would definitely recommend this restaurant. My only criticism is that the lighting is a little too ambient for my liking, had difficulty reading the menu!
Great food and service, not a cheap meal but value for money considering how great the food tasted. Lovely venue ideal for a nice romantic meal or few beers and a curry
Unfortunately this time my experience wasn't good. There was 10 of us, food was delivered at random times. Chips and rice missing. A portion of chips for 2 people when the other was sat across the other end of the table. Waited an hour to receive and pay for the bill we had to ring the restaurant to get the bill as no staff in site. Also two tables had been booked rather than one so half my party was sat at the wrong table at first. It wss a celebration that was ruined for me.
turn us away after waiting for 30 mins as we had booked on line and not by telephone!!! we were disgusted to be honest wont be going ever again
The restaurant was really nicely decorated. The food was gorgeous. Had to order the drinks a few times as they were very busy but no complaints!
Food lovely service not so good a bit of a mix up over Groupon offer but sorted in the end restaurant is gorgeous think they need some customer service skills
Not been for a while and forgot just how good the food is. We also careful this time not to over order as the portions are good.
Food was of a good standard but the service was poor - just a few people waiting on tables - and it took ages to first get drinks, then order food and finally get the bill. They seemed understaffed for a Saturday night.
Excellent food and service. The chutney tray is the best I have ever had. Great selection of mains and the biggest naan around. Overall a great restaurant.
Really nice curry and lovely restaurant highly recommend. They do special currys such as caramel and korma which I've never seen anywhere else and both are lovely
we went with friends and all want to return. The staff and service were excellent. The Banquet options were fantastic and great value and everything was well presented, good size portions and tasted delicious. Happy to recommend.
Food was good but service is simply awful- waiters have an attitude no apology for 60 minute wait for main course. We waned a relatively quick curry and spend 2 hours 30 minutes there!! Such a shame as food is good quality but would not go back simply due to service (wait times) and complete lack of empathy from staff
All five of us enjoyed the food - even the one of us who does not eat Indian food and opted for fish fingers. My Tandoori mix was a very generous portion and the Vindaloo sauce with it appropriately spicy. The service was friendly and timely. We'll certainly be going back there. Happy to give a 6 as could not fault it.
Fantastic service and great food. Friendly and nothing too much trouble including boxing up part of our meal as we couldn't finish it! Can't wait to go back!
Great food, great service as always. Quite busy and very lively, but we still managed to have plenty of quiet moments, as the tables are quite well spaced out.
Excellent restaurant, wonderful staff, fantastic food and a great time. This is a fabulous restaurant and I can't wait to go back again. It is brilliant.
Food was excellent, as was the service. Very pleasant and helpful staff. This was our first experience of the Purple Pakora and we will definitely be returning.
Went to celebrate a birthday. Warm welcome received and given a couple of happy birthday balloons. Excellent food coupled with amazing service - great, thanks guys. Happy birthday sung as well!
The restaurant serves great food and most enjoyable. My only thought is that they should ask you for your drink order as soon as you sit down rather than let you wait for 10 mins when you have been seated. Other than that 5 star food
The restaurant had no record of our booking & made us feel like they were doing us a favour by fitting us in. I was told I should book by phone really ? It was my daughters birthday meal so this wasn't a great start... The food was delicious & the venue was lovely & spotless, the service let it down a bit as we weren't offered the chance to get any more drinks after our initial ones & had to stop a passing waiter. My sister also had to pay at the bar after waiting to avoid missing our train home as our requested bill didn't arrive. Good service would have massively improved our experience.
A very family friendly atmosphere with great food and a good choice of dishes. All courses served on time making for a wonderful dining experience
Semi rural location, ample parking, friendly staff, delicious food, reasonably priced at £60 for 2 people that's for 2 courses with a couple of drinks. Casual dress code, smokers catered for, with chairs and tables outside, complete with candles and ash trays.
Lighting can cause a problem with reading the menu. New member of staff who needs more training as when my drink was placed on table fingers were put inside glass. Complaint made to manager who agred that this was unacceptable. Other than this service and food was good.
Great food, lovely place but the reservation didn't work when booking online (got told this was a fault with the website - if they knew this they should say on the website or sort the issue out). Didn't get offered further drinks, even though we were sat with empty glasses with our meal. Other than the small issues mentioned an overall good place to go.
Excellent food and service The restaurant is very spacious and well decorated The menu as traditional and a great special selection And it is very reasonabley priced
Great service and great food again! Always a great experience every time we've been. We will definitely be going again in the very near future.
we enjoyed both the place and the food the staff are very polite and friendly , the food was of a very high standard we would recommend this place to anyone, good food lovely environment and great staff good job guys keep the good work up
The food was really enjoyable and some really different choices. Service was good and very friendly. Will be going again in the New Year sooner rather than later!
We ate at the Purple Pakora on new year's eve. All five of our party found something different to try and enjoyed our selection very much. The service was friendly and helpful.
We had a mixed starter for 2 which was not worth the 8.95. Our main meals were ok but we had different curry but both tasted very similar. I think they use the same base sauce
Ridiculously bad service. Drinks were forgotten completely, took ages or were wrong. One main course didn't arrive at all. It took 3 hours in total because of the chaos. It wasn't even full. Shocking
Great food at a great price would definitely return again. So much food on the banquet even took some home as we xouldnt manage it all
Food was nice. Bit pricey for what it was though. Great service. The waiters were very attentive and the good didn't take too long to arrive.
Fantastic food, service and attentive staff. It's a very clean and well kept establishment, we will be returning again in the future. Cheers guys! :-)
Delicious food, good service & reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. It's great to have such a nice local restaurant. We will definitely be returning.
This was our first visit here, the food was very good, the staff friendly and an all round good experience. We will most certainly return.
Excellent fresh tasting food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly approach from the staff good selection range on the menu and reasonably priced - definitely recommend
