Putney Pies London

We had our first visit to Putney Pies and really enjoying it. Tuesday night deal very good value.

Lovely place, can take a while for food Tom come whenever they are busy but I know (and am happy with) that. Certainly no rush to chase us out on a Saturday lunchtime. As always the pies were great!

The only way to enhance the food experience (for me) would be to serve a small jug of gravy with the meal, instead of putting it on the plate. Other wise excellent. This was my first visit but not the last!!!!

Unfortunately we didn't have a great time this time around, the wait was at least an hour before we got our food and then my fish pie wasn't very hot, at no point did the waiter as how our meal was, even when paying so couldn't bring anything us. Putney pies is one of my favourite restaurants but i would hesitate to go back.

The food was tasty and serving staff mostly friendly, however there was a bit of waiting involved trying to get their attention.

Most dishes were sold out but our waiter was lovely

The staff are so lovely and the food is always amazing! Amil, especially, always goes above and beyond for us! Honestly it's always a wonderful night at Putney Pies and would 100% recommend, for simple, honest good food and huge portions. 2 Pull backs- 1. The Veggie Mushroom and goats cheese pie had only a very small amount of Goats cheese- more like a simple Mushroom pie ( Still good though! just not what ~I paid for) . An error from the staff meant the bill was miscalculated, lumping my friend with a sum after we had all left, as he was last to leave! Think this could have been better handled.

Afraid service was terrible there were cheffing issues meal took over an hour and three quarters to arrive at table and after about an hour from ordering was told certain choice of pies were no longer available. Give a bit of credit we eventually got the whole meal on the house and an apology for the unbelievable delay.

Very pleased with the whole experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Very tasty and well made pies. And in a great setting. Will be returning soon. Thank you.

Always a favourite of ours. We make reservations, so there is a table waiting when we arrive. It does get loud and busy, but this is part of the atmosphere. Be patient with the food, its a wait, but worth it.
