Food was amazing, mac n cheese was the only thing that stopped a full score. Staff were great and very friendly, would definitely recommend

Great pies, this place does what it says on the can. With happy service too. Make sure you visit the Vault downstairs for a drink or two afterwards.

Everything about this restaurant is great... from the food to the service and the price. We have been a few times and each time as good.

Food was average. It was my birthday and brought in a cake which the staff had lost. They made it up though with free desserts

Food was really good, but service was pretty slow. And we sat downstairs so it was a bit dingy

If you can get a table downstairs, do as it's very atmospheric eating underneath the high street.

Delicious pies - great view of river - friendly service

The starter was incorrect which resulted in only one person eating a starter due to the time it would have taken to cook the correct order. The main was nice but overpriced. Beer was served by the bottle and not by the pint as advertised. £5.95 a bottle 🤔 Wouldn’t rush back!!!

The food is amazing with real home made pies to arrive at your table hot and fresh! The service could be a tad better though. We heard owner/head waiter commenting on our table and others saying things like: They are taking their time and trying to rush or orders. We had to repeat the order to the waiter as he did not seem to pay attention and got things mixed up a few times, when repeating it to us. Is Putney Pies getting that "we know we are good and so we are rude-ish attitude?" Definitely not a right one for such a lovely place to have!

Absolument perfect experience. I have been living in Putney for over 10 years and only just discovered this gem. Amazing service, amazing very British delicious dishes, amazing venue. We will be back many many times again!

Absolutely delicious pies. The filling is full and wholesome, and the pastry is thick and delightful. Thoroughly recommend if a fan of the humble pie.

Served with a coke that was flat, I made our waiter aware of this and he disagreed with it’s me and then walked away. Bad start. I told him to take off of the menu and I ordered something else. Then my chicken and bacon pie came out without cream (as per menu description) and was very dry. I sent it back, the waiter made me aware that the chef hasn’t followed his recipe orders and that he’s been told off (pass the blame with no responsibility taken) I had an alternative option and it was mediocre flavour wise. During the meal, we sat very near the bar area and had to listen to all customer calls also watch our waiter eat his food which sat behind the bar in view of the customers. All in all and terrible experience and I’d never return.

Never disappoints. Recommend taking a selection from the mini/starter menu of mini pies and slices of giant saus-role and mini beef wellington with little Yorkshire puds & gravy... yum. The staff are an attentive class-act. Always spot you're asking for them within seconds, but not hovering or constantly asking if everything's ok or to get you more drinks. Can't recommend highly enough.

First visit and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, we were well looked after. May be a bit pricey for a “pie” but it was worth every penny. Will definitely be going back again as there are more pies to sample 😍

Friendly, helpful staff and delicious pies. We had some drinks downstairs in the vault until our table was ready. We each ordered different pies and they were all delicious as were the accompanying vegetables.

Great restaurant, large selection of pies and excellent beer. Really friendly and helpful. Also starters and desserts. .Cocktails and great coffee. Can get busy and important to make a booking .

We always try and go to independent restaurants and cafes. This one was very good we were early in the evening so were the only customers upstairs. Good customer service. The meal was excellent. Well cooked and presented. Would go again when in the area.
