Traditional pie!!! Enjoy each piece of the pie which are freshly made. The restaurant gas wide range of beer selection. Good service!! Overall amazing experience
Delicious food and a great setting, my favourite place for pies in London. They also have a great bar downstairs in the Vaults at the weekend
Had a great time. A piper played for Burns' Night. I didn't even know Mr Burns on the Simpsons even liked bagpipes. Lovely food, which was served quickly.
What a delight! Fabulous food, warm atmosphere and friendly service of course. But a unique combination that makes this a real find ifbyoure a pie fiend or not!!
The staff were very attentive and fulfilled every request. recommended a lovely red wine. The food was yummy, served quickly and overall a very happy experience.
Always a pleasant experience whether it’s lunch or dinner. The pies are not bad either.
Excellent place for pies, well located in Putney with free street parking nearby in the evenings. Always worth a visit when in the vicinity. Best book a table before going.
The place to go for pies and a bit of dancing afterwards. Staff serve with a smile and the diners and dancers are usually friendly.
Putney pies. Excellent food. Service could have been quicker but great atmosphere. Would recommend to friends and come back again. Keep up the good work!
This is a busy and popular place, so it is essential to book on a Friday night. The food was good and fairly reasonably priced. Overall, no complaints at all.
Went for my birthday, the whole family loved it. Great atmosphere, cosy decor and fantastic pies! Thanks so much for a great evening, we’ll definitely be back.
Quite noisy in the area downstairs but that's to be expected as this area has a DJ and turns into a club later in the evening. A la carte menu not great - burnt Toad-in-the-Hole etc.
Friendly staff, great menu choices and wine list. Highly recommend!! We tend to sit upstairs for food and then head downstairs for a drink. Great atmosphere!
Absolutely loved the pies here. Well worth the trip and we will definitely be back next time we are in town. I recommend sitting in the 'vault' great atmosphere!
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great pies. The pies are cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait, but when they arrive they are worth it.
Great Steak & Ale pie as always, also the vegetarian option was really tasty.
Outstanding pies, must try when in London. Best to sit downstairs, best atmosphere
Fantastic service and delicious food, as always. We loved the Christmassy touch with decorations and crackers. Been here before and will definitely come here again.
Our mains were lovely (we both had chicken and mushroom pies) but we were disappointed that some of the starters on the menu weren’t available such as the scotch egg trio.
Bit busy with I my one waitress but the food more than made up for it. More mash would be preferred. Will definitely go again
Very good pies, always delicious and in a cosy atmosphere. Fantastic location and with great service too. Definitely a South West London institution - long may it continue!
We sat down at 615 and ordered our food and the waitress came over and told us that we only had the table till 8. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Nobody came to ask us how our food was or if we needed anything. The mash potato was old an the cauliflower cheese was hard as it wasn’t cooked properly. Nobody said please or thank you. Generally the service was atrocious which was a shame as the pie was so nice.
Food was boring, pies taste like they’ve been microwaved and so do starters which are really boring in themselves. I did expect more from this place. Unfortunate experience.
The pies were absolutely excellent, amongst the best I've ever had. Triple cooked chip were also good, or they would have been if they weren't matched by their own weight in salt. Where is fell down massively is the staff ands management's attitude. My reservation was for 7pm, the menu made it clear that this was not a fast food place and there would be a wait as food was freshly prepared - perfect - and we chose our two courses. at 8.30, with the mains just completed and a third of a bottle of wine remaining, the bill was delivered and we were informed that the table was booked for 8.30 and we needed to vacate it. I'm used to a time limit as some restaurants, but usually two hours and ALWAYS flagged at the time of the booking. The staff were condescending when we tried to reason with them. They reluctantly found us another table to finish our wine at. What a shame, they truly were lovely pies, but the attitude was poor, doubt I'll return.
Lovely good old English food, nice vibe, had a great time, very pleasant staff 👍will be definitely be visiting again and telling all our friends.
First time eating at Putney pies , I didn’t realise pies could have so much flavour, great cocktails, and all at a reasonable price, i will definitely return .
Best pie ever! We came with great expectations and we ended up having a great time with great food Lovely walk to the location from the pier
tipical english restaurant. fantastic pies and beer. prices were honest.
Great food, great fun, had a fabulous evening last night. Fish pie was amazing. Every one enjoyed their meals. I will definitely be going back.
Had the rabbit pie and it was amazing. Definitely going back!
Delicious food, we all had a different pie - I can highly recommend the steak and ale pie with chips! Fab deal on a Tuesday night pie with a side of mash/chips and gravy and a glass of wine/beer for only £15. Highly recommend sitting downstairs too for a real atmosphere.
Great time, friendly staff and some good banter, although we were there for a late lunch, we will be there much later next time for sure👌
This is a hidden treasure. Lovely staff and the pies are absolutely delicious 😋 I absolutely love this place and have never had a bad meal. This time I went for lunch with my mum and 2 sisters and we all loved it.
Despite a powercut covering Putney high street- the restaurant produced a couple of the best pies we had tasted. Much needed after a heavy day at work. Thank you!
Really great pies! Nice mash good gravy and veggie sides. Cute place. I like the menu changes so you can choose chips or mash, beverage selection is cool.
great food excellent service friendly staff - there's not much more to say really - the booked table was free and waiting for us to eat
The food and service were both excellent; the atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. We were treating a friend for his 80th birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience
My first time here, definitely reccomend it!!! Great pies! Both for meat lovers and for vegans (I am one of those :) ) very friendly Staff
From the minute you walk in you feel this is different and gonna be good . The staff are superb as is the food , starters through to the delicious pies. Only problem is as a pudding guy I was full! Can’t wait to return with rest of my family!!
The food was fantastic but the staff very grumpy, which ruined it a bit. Also, be aware that Friday and Saturday nights get lairy - there was a gig on in the basement and we were asked, mid-dinner, to be stamped etc. by the bouncers. It was just a bit odd. I love Putney Pies though, but during the week for sure.
