Rancho Fareham

Almost an hour wait for our food with the service unco ordinated and overrun by a pay day Saturday night. My daughter had ribs which were dry and not nice all other food was fine . Not sure we will be back in a hurry

I like my steak well done and many restaurants won’t do it like that or they burn the steak to make a point. Ranchos do it amazingly well. It was cooked to perfection. Well done. Would recommend.

Manager argued when we didn’t like the food. We felt like we were being stared at the whole time and the music was off putting. The inside was quite tight as well so every few seconds someone was walking by you. Waitresses tried their best to help but overall we didn’t enjoy.

The food was very good, but the restaurant was on the chilly side. The staff were very good and dealt with our needs. However I do disagree with a service charge on the bill. This should be left too the customers decression.

I've been here twice now both at lunchtimes. Lovely clean setting. The table service and food are very good. The steak has been spot on both times.

Terrible customer service not once did they ask if we enjoying our meal the waitress didn’t know which steak was which, and the food had no taste the Alioli on the asparagus appeared to be garlic mayo for kebabs it was white and alioli is generally yellow

No allergy menu nor shown on the menu, but staff were helpful and advised me of what was not GF. Desserts were not great for the price, cheap pre-packed and expensive for the price - was expecting it to have been made on site. Shame as the steaks were good, wish we had started instead!

Very busy but they had some people off sick, so a bit hectic so service was very friendly but a bit stretched. The food is ok, quite basic but if you just want a steak and chips it’s for you. Not cheap as you buy all the accompaniments separately - £4 for 5 stems of asparagus. If you’re a foodie don’t bother. If you’re a plain eater you’ll probably enjoy it.

Awkward atmosphere at times, overall nice food. One of the younger workers appeared to be stood beside us quite a lot, began to be a little concerning if she wanted to say something or not.

Visited as a couple. No atmosphere and unremarkable steak. An expensive meal out and very little satisfaction. We won't be returning or recommending to friends.

Good food, all seven mains served at same time, which was great, though one or two sides didn’t materialise. But strawberry ice cream with sticky toffe pudding is just wrong! Nice meal though for a pleasant family occasion.

The food is always good here..the meat is cooked perfectly. The service is prompt and friendly..the only negative is the desserts are abit too sweet.

Table for 4. Food was delicious fresh and tasty. Saturday was a busy night but all was good. The bill came and they had slapped a 10% service charge on! Obviously we didn't pay it as it's optional. We like our own choice to give a 'tip' or not!

very good meal. My mrs loved it and this is the 3rd time we been back. Would defiantly recommend this place. 9/10 and the steak is awesome :D

Food was amazing , could of done with a bit more sauce on the ribs but thats personal perference. I think the staff were a bit non existence. We waited a while to be offered a drink. They didn’t make sure our food was alright. Everything was ok but i always think its a good idea to come and double check.

Lovely meal. Steaks cooked to perfection. All very hot. Shame there are no high chairs for the smaller ones, the booster seats are great for the older children.

Our meal tonight was amazing. I had the ribeye steak and it was beautiful. Very tender and very tasty. My husband is a vegetarian and had fish which came in a sauce, he really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant was very clean and very well presented.

Brilliant food, brilliant service as always. New Years Eve, a busy night for them, but it never effected the quality of either the food or the service.

Excellent food. Good service. Had Fajitas which were tasty. Hubble had chicken and ribs. Plenty one the plate. Service was attentive, friendly and not pushy.

Had a lovely meal.cooked just how we ordered it .waiting staff friendly and courteous.it was good value for money and will happily go bak again

Excellent ribs, visited on a Wednesday evening, eat as many ribs as you want! Drinks reasonable and service good. Overall, a lovely evening and will return.

Excellent food and service.... large meaty steaks and good value for money. Thoroughly recommended....The service was just right with attention when you needed it and left in peace to enjoy the meal....

Really quick, friendly service - staff really knew the menu (including the wines!) food was perfect as usual. Manager did rounds of all tables chatting to guests and checking on food. Really good to see.

The food was amazing. A little over priced but bit too much although you pay for what you get. The service was great. I will return soon.

The atmosphere, staff and food were excellent, the only problem was the Service charge said 10% but was in fact nearly 27%, which I felt was very over the top. The service was excellent and I was prepared to give a good tip, but I do feel it should be from choice. In future I will query the service charge.

We had a meal with friends and the food and service was fantastic as normal, one thing was wrong but we never noticed until the next day. You really need to check your bill as we were charged for drinks and a meal we never had on our table, £32 was over charged, but because we were enjoying our evening not one of us checked that the staff had done the bill wrong.

Very speedy service, little mistake with my steak (wanted ribeye not fillet) but everything was tasty and well cooked. Will be retuning. Prefer fareham to Southsea.

I had a meal at Rancho Fareham last night and i won't be rushing back to be honest.. it took a very long time to make our food order we only ordered main meals so nothing to complicated to write down but my steak came to me medium rare when i asked for medium well done.. it looked nice but i could only eat around the edges.. they took it back from me to re cook but i didn't want it so they said it would be took off the bill, which it didn't so if we didn't look we would of been charged... lot of other small issues which was annoying and not very good services, so we asked to not pay the service charge which is on there automatically.. so i left very hungry and disappointed.

I love the steak here, the chips are great too and the bbq sauce is fantastic! I would definitely recommend it to any steak lovers.

Easy booking very clean and tidy. Staff very attentive polite and helpful. Good food and reasonably priced would definitely recommend for a night out with friends or family.

All diners in my party enjoyed the meal and generally very happy with the service, will consider in future dining at Rancho. individually and in parties.

food was good, a little dry, would have preferred the ribs to be cooked in a sauce but it still tasted great. atmosphere was amazing!

Great service, excellent food. One steak was well done rather than medium rare and swapped it immediately without a fuss a gave us a free drink to say sorry.

Staff were friendly, food wasn't as Greta as previous visit. Ribs had been overcooked a bit. Very quiet at the time which was good. Garlic bread was spot on.

Little slow on the service side of things but food is lovely. Although getting mine and my partners steak cooking levels around the wrong way was not ideal. other than that food quality is brilliant.

Great steak slightly disappointing chips and it could have been a bit warmer in the restaurant. Good value wine. Overall would recommend for a good steak
