Had a itison voucher,set menu,food was excellent well worth it.Only problem the loos were blocked ,but the staff was lovely

We booked the pre theatre menu before a show at the kings theatre. This was part of my sisters 50th birthday celebrations. As a special touch the red onion restaurant gave her a complimentary happy birthday dessert which was really kind.

Starters where lovely, mains all good except for the vegan risotto, had a butternut squash risotto but it was so cheesy. Cheese not noted on menu and person does not like cheese. We all tasted it and was so strong like a bag of quavers. Bowl of chips was ordered instead.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed our food however my partner found what looked like bits of plastic in his bang bang chicken starter. We pointed this out to the member of staff when she came to collect our plates and she said it was probably noodles but would mention it to the kitchen. There was no follow up and We didn’t hear anymore about it and no it didn’t look like noodles Disappointed in the customer service regarding this .

Great experience, this restaurant is one of the best in Glasgow

Service was great as was the food . Restaurant was fairly quiet (but it was a Thursday at 5.30 pm )so not much atmosphere but the music was good

We had a lovely lunch here. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with plenty of room and comfortable seating. The staff were welcoming friendly and attentive. Even the busy chef took time to ask how our meal had been. The food was excellent and well presented.I would thoroughly recommend this place

We had a lovely meal - used our ITISON voucher for the 2 course. Only comment was we added a dessert onto the meal and £8 was a bit expensive for what we got.

My friends + family dine at the Red Onion frequently. The food + service is always outstanding. I had particular requests today and the staff were more than happy to accommodate me 😃

Itison voucher - food was ok but veggie options limited

Really good value for pre-theatre menu and service was fast, friendly and efficient, as it needs to be before theatre time! I really cannot fault this place for pre-theatre dinner. Portion sizes are absolutely perfect - it's a bugbear of mine when a restaurant/pub gives you stupidly large portions, which means you've paid for food which you cannot actually eat - this place has it spot-on perfect in that regard.

Been years since I've been and it was very good! Chef talked to all the tables which was lovely. A wee note: A restaurant with such a good reputation like Red Onion needs smarter toilets. Ladies were a bit grubby and worn out....sorry!
