Wonderful food and service as usual! Definitely to be recommended!

Really nice staff, great that there is a vegan menu to choose from, instead of just one option, like at most restaurants. Great choice of wines too. Nice venue.

Great atmosphere. My partner's food was good (feather blade of beef) but my steak was stringy and chewy and not worth the extra £3 supplement on my Itison deal. Staff were lovely.

We were a group of nine. Everyone was pleased with the experience. We were all served at the same time despite having ordered a wide variety of dishes. Waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive and were courteous and pleasant. All dishes were of high quality and well presented.

We had just landed in Glasgow and our friendly taxi driver asked if we would like a dinner suggestion. We readily accepted and he told us about the Red Onion which happened to be an easy walk from our lodging. We reviewed it online and were able to get a reservation for that evening! It surpassed our expectations! The menu had interesting choices and everything we tried was tasty and well presented. Cocktails were good and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience and a good value! Highly recommend!!

We had a fantastic Sunday roast and the opportunity to chat with chef John Quigley. I asked for the recipe for his delicious onion jam, and he shared the recipe and so much more. Best experience ever.

The joy of receiving a menu choice that stated all were Gluten and Dairy free was a unique experience for me! Attentive staff, enjoyable tasty (normal) food was great. One to share for sure. Thank you

By far the best meal out I've had in a long, long time!!! Service was spot on - relaxed but attentive at the same time. Food was delicious and generous portions and lovely and warm unlike lots of lukewarm food you get served at other places. And to top it all off was exceptional value for money. All in all a great experience and can't recommend it highly enough. Will be out 'go to' restaurant from now for sure...

Food was lovely, wasn’t happy with service, do think it’s a training issue, gave table next to us there meal but didn’t lift our plates that had been on our table for 10 mins at least , I had to go up and ask them to take the dirty plates sway

The food and value for money is very good. An issue is the disabled toilet is also used for staff to hang their jackets. I don’t think this is good practice or would meet with regulations. The toilet area was also not the cleanest.
