Lunch today was excellent. Very good, friendly service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The food was rather disappointing and dull for the price. The soup wasn't particularly hot. Fishcakes a bit dry. The vegan menu relied too much on fake meat type of food. It was just a bit uninspiring and a bit canteen like. The service was ok. Don't think I'd visit again.

Food was delicious and portion sizes generous. Server was extremely friendly, very efficient and very helpful. We were served promptly for all courses. Value for money was excellent considering the quality of the food. Nice touch to see John in the restaurant chatting to customers. Only downside was that there was a birthday celebration at one of the larger tables who were on the noisy side, so made it difficult for us to sometimes hear each other properly. However, this was not the fault of the restaurant and has not stopped us recommending the restaurant to others. We would definitely return.

Food and service were great. Staff were attentive and they have a large selection of gluten free food.

We didn’t realise the restaurant would wind down so early (before 8.00pm. Not sure if this is typical or because Scotland were playing in the Euros!

We often use the Red Onion for dining out as it is not too formal, the service is efficient, friendly but not in your face, not too noisy and the food is always good.

Very attractive restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. Good menu offerings. Courteous staff, but once I was seated and the place got busier, it was like I did not exist anymore. It was difficult to get anyone's attention when I wanted more water, some lemon for my fish, etc. A solo diner needs as much attention as larger parties!

A regular spot of ours and never lets us down.Good quality food and lovely service at a reasonable price.Only slight let down was the fact that the restaurant was empty barring us by 9.30 and we felt obliged to leave although the staff didn’t hassle us in any manner.

Absolutely brilliant little hidden gem. Will deffo be back here. Got a wowcher as a present and I never even heard of this place. Booked it and turned up 30 mins Early but was not a problem for the staff. Food was 10/10. Staff 10/10. Needless to say I will deffo be back every time I come up to Glasgow.
