First visit to Red Onion and the food was excellent, waiting staff were very professional and attentive. Definitely be back.

Have been before and this visit not nearly as good as last time as restaurant so quiet this time and service nowhere near as good, as one of the waitresses very offhand.

I ordered vegetable soup - a thick orangey concoction arrived which was very spicy. I couldn't finish it. There were shards of something which might have been melba toast - no butter. The fish for my course was off. I was very disappointed as I had read great reviews of this restaurant. I wasted £29 on the Itison voucher. We later saw one of the chefs in the adjacent alleyway smoking very unusual tobacco. That might account for the poor food.

Lovely food and good choice on the menu. Each of our party of 4 had something different and all looked and were delicious. We were around £40 a head for 3 courses. Staff are friendly, helpful and great at their job.

Superb food from a menu that was difficult to choose from. Decent wine list too. All backed by the usual attentive & professional service. It was good to be back!

Had a great lunch and day out with girls. Food was amazing. Only negative was being rushed out the door. We were well aware of 2hr tilme limit. We were given our bill 20 mins before time limit was up.

Lovely meal as usual but pretty quiet on a Sunday evening- maybe lack of a pre -theatre menu and no booze allowed putting people off .

I often go to this restaurant food wasn’t as good

Smiling and efficient service. Enough attention during the meal but not intrusive. Food, well presented and staff well briefed on allergies etc (good knowledge e.g. of soya and dairy ingredients as 1 of our party is intolerant to both). Overall a lovely time, and will return for an evening sometime soon. Well done to all.
