The restaurant was extremely well organised for social distancing and sanitising. The staff were great and the chef came out on occasion and spoke to customers. Food was really lovely.

Fabulous!!! First lunch out after lockdown with my pal. 3 course set menu was delicious and an amazing deal. Service and atmosphere was warm & friendly on a soggy Scottish summer's day!!

I’m a regular at the red onion so as always the food was amazing and great quality at a very good price. I am vegan and love that there is a 3 course vegan menu with lots of vegan options. The staff are always friendly and professional and the restaurant is always looking lovely.

Lovely restaurant and the food was delicious. Great service and great value

Food was ok although no set lunch so prices far too high for what was on offer. Wine selection poor and overpriced. No contact details taken, paper menus but these were put back on the bar after use. Screens between tables but no distancing.

Lovely food and wine. Lovely to see the retaurant busy but suitably distanced. John made sure he talked to every table and spent some time with us.

It was good to be able to dine out again and the food and service were great.

Good food, good chat from our waitress. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had to wait in our car as we were 10 minutes early. Not a big concern however I noticed there was seating at the door so don’t know why that wasn’t an option. When we came back our table was ready. After a few minutes the staff upgraded us to a booth which was nice. Unfortunately my gin didn’t taste as though it had gin in it so they replaced without any problem.

We seemed to be the only diners who weren't there on a cheap deal and were seated at a table in a walkway where we were repeatedly bumped by staff and other diners. Bizarrely everyone there on the deal were given booths and the best tables......shocking!!

Food and service was excellent. First time visit and will definitely be back.

Pre theatre visit. Excellent value with extensive menu choices along with a full vegetarian menu to match both a la crate and pre theatre menu. Would definitely recommend and have already booked for next visit.

Our visit to Red Onion is always a great one and yesterday was no different. From the greeting we received when came through the door till we left the Restaurant was just Fab. The Food - whether it was off the Pre Theatre or Main Menu was just wonderful. Thanks again 😁😁

Food was just sublime. Our waitress was attentive and very witty.... even had a visit to our table by the chef to ensure our food was up to scratch. Years since I had last eaten here, wont be leaving it so long next time 10/10

Overall good for a cheap itison deal. Would have been very unhappy with the service had I paid full price. I thought the point of itison was to show you a good affordable experience that makes you want to come back and pay full price . Liked it but ...,,,,,,,,,,.................

A fabulous lunch, not least because they have a menu that’s both gluten and dairy free. I had a whole menu of unusual dishes to choose from, which is really rare. I had the squid salad and haddock main, both delicious, so we’ll be returning in April for my birthday lunch. The restaurant was busy but not over noisy and the service very good.

A cosy place on a wild and windy night, great steaks, delicious Thai curry and tempting desserts.

Fantastic food, great service, we were made so welcome, really good value for money. I will be visiting again.
