Great menu choices, great value and superb food as always

Asked for them to delay our mains, just at the point they collected the starter plates. When we got them, it was obvious that the meals had been under a heat lamp for 30 minutes - needless to say the texture of the meat was not great after this length of time. At no point, during the meal or afterwards, were we asked if everything was ok, so did not get a chance to say how bad it was; I suspect they knew this and did not bother. Just wouldn't recommend it at all. Place was cold, with electric heaters dotted around to try to help this.

Ordered from pre-theatre menu. Great value and all the dishes were delicious. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the espresso coffees were a bit disappointing, but didn't spoil an otherwise excellent dining experience. I would thoroughly recommend Red Onion, and will definitely be back

Great atmosphere, attentive staff, prompt service and pre theatre menu was plentiful and varied.

Have been 4 times to this Restuarant and the food is still great good selection. And we love this place as it has a great gluten free menu as my husband who is celiac. Staff are always so friendly.

On arrival we were quickly attended to and taken through the restaurant which was fairly empty with only two tables occupied and taken upstairs to a smaller area. Although the decor downstairs was inviting with a glowing fire and nice wall decor, it was more like a cafe upstairs. I sat facing a plain wall with bare railings on it - which was not at all pleasing after walking through the nice area downstairs. Perhaps the owner could look at putting nice blinds up covering the blacked out windows and a trellis over the railings. The food in itself was nice enough with a good choice. I would go back again however, I would ask for a table downstairs.

Staff were great food good but the place needs to be cleaned a thick layer of dust on table lampshades also on the arificial flowers in the restaurant also speakers and air conditioning units were filthy
