A little Middle Eastern slice of paradise is tucked away along Morrison Street in Edinburgh. Rojava is a delightful restaurant specialising in Kurdish cuisine that is truly otherworldly. Fresh and packed with flavour, this cuisine hailing from Kurdistan has sent locals crazy over how delicious and tasty it is. With an extensive range of hot and cold meze, flavoursome halal meats off the charcoal grill, as well as seafood and vegetarian options including some spectacular hummus, Rojava is a taste sensation. Located in the district of Haymarket, Rojava is open for lunch and dinner, and also offers special discounts to students and emergency service workers. This beautifully designed space does fill up though so booking in advance is recommended.

The food was great and catered for the range of tastes and capacity of each of the seven of us. We ate from the chef's three course menue, choosing and sharing our starters and mains. One of the high lights of Edinburgh.
