The food at Ogino is amazing and the service is just as good. Really really good sushi! I'd recommend the sushi platter and sharing starter.

The food was okay but very over priced. The service was poor at times. Items were missing from desserts and it took a long time to pay.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, friendly staff. I would have rated a 6 but for the fact that the air con seemed to be ramped up to max and I found I was quite cold for most of the time. Only a little niggle and it wouldn't stop me returning. I'll just wear a jumper next time!

I have been to Ogino many times over the last 3 years and have always had fantastic food. Regrettably this time the food just wasn't up to their usual high standards. It was still of a good standard but I am used to being blown away by the different flavours and textures that Ogino normally delivers.

Really wonderful food, excellent service. Flavours are out of this world. The setting and decor is beautiful, and it's lovely to watch the chefs work.

Amazing experience yet again. Food, service, atmosphere, efficiency, cleanliness all top class. The sharing platter has some very different flavours. The ginger and lemon sorbet a perfect end to the meal. Unreservedly recommend this restaurant.

Food delicious - a unique experience - wonderful favours. Relaxing ambience. Welcoming staff - totally professional and helpful. Hard to find anything wrong - unable to select table, espresso coffee not hot ? Recommend and will return.

Excellent food and service. Ate off the set priced menu which included a glass of wine and a reduced price dessert. The squid appetiser was small but very tasty and the teriyaki chicken main course was excellent as was the dessert. Will return soon.

Lunch at Ogino was relatively quieter than dinner time. We only went for lunch because dinner was booked out at least a week in advance. The service was excellent and food of a high standard and well presented. Highly re commended!

The food at Ogino's is absolutely beautiful. I took my parents who hadn't experienced Japanese cuisine before and they were very impressed by the menu and by the food. We tried the set menu which offered a great range that they enjoyed immensely. The rest of the menu offered even more delights so I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy those. The service is professional and the atmosphere makes for an excellent dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing. Its the best one I have ever been to. The food is stunning absolutely beautifully presented and taste is superb. The staff are brilliant and the restaurant itself is lovely. We will definitely be trying again even though it is quite expensive but still 10 out of 10 Oginos

Fabulous food/staff and Julian was to hand to ask any questions. Even has a gluten free menu. I've been twice now in one month with two different groups of work Staff. Need I say anymore!

We received a warm welcome on entering the restaurant. It had a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The staff were very professional and helped us through the menu. The service and food were excellent. We had a superb evening and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Beverley.

Weither dining as a couple or a group of 14 we always have fantastic service and exceptionally good food which make Ogino one of the best places to eat in the local area.

Surroundings, service, ambience, knowledgeable staff, all first class and the food is absolutely wonderful. We have eaten here quite a few times & have always thoroughly enjoyed it. Best restaurant in Beverley, just try booking a table & you will see how popular it is. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant. Menu a little unhelpful in enabling a decision to be made about quantities, but overall good service and delicious food. Will definitely return.

The restuarant is an elegant space on the 1st floor in Beverley. We were lucky enough to get the last six oyster shooters, which were the highlight of the meal. Very intense flavours and all different. The starters of tuna tarter and wag-yu gyoza were good, if a little underspiced. The sashimi was good, but we've had better elsewhere. The duck was perfectly cooked, but I felt again the flavours were perhaps too subtle - at least for me. If some of the strong citrus flavours from the shooters were used on the duck, I think it would be more exciting. The desserts - black sesame creme brulee and chocolate and green tea ganache - were good and, again, very flavourful. The sake by the glass was fine, but I'm used to junmai served cold rather than room temperature. All in all, a very good meal. Not cheap, but worth it.

This was our second visit to Ogino and on both occasions the food was delicious, service excellent and good atmosphere. Saketini cocktail was a lovely pre-dinner drink.

Excellent service, food good but could have been hotter and wine colder! Just the right amount of people, busy but not over busy so staff could cope. Will go back.

Great atmosphere and well worth the wait for the sushi, staff were very helpful and polite and could not do enough for you, service with a smile! Will not dissapoint

A real oasis of Japanese calm, fab food, saki well worth a try and a very different experience, hard to fault, even the windows are imported from japan

Food is excellent and the staff very good. The only let down is the lack of Japanese staff and it would be nice if the tasting menu was available to smaller parties than 6 people.
