I dine here often as I love it for so many reasons. Staff are welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Music is always good, always eclectic, jazzy and smooth. Menu is wide ranging. Food is tasty and hot. Wine list is extensive. Good authentic furniture, crockery and cutlery. I recommend goats cheese bruschetta as a starter followed by chicken ballotine. Cocktail wise, try the espresso martini. If you haven't done Salt, you haven't done Belfast!

Good, fast service, Very good selections, as well as great signature cocktails, could have done with slightly more menu options. Pricey but worth it. Will be back again.

The food was amazing, the girl that served us a bit sour faced but would definitely go back and we still gave a generous tip. They close after lunch and reopen for dinner but loads of people were turned away so they should think about staying open. A great location too, you would never know you were in centre of Belfast!

Pretty average food at an expensive price. Wouldn't recommend based on how bland the food was. Took quite a long time to cook the food but the food definitely wasn't worth the wait!

Fabulous food and really nice staff. I also found it really good value for money. We had a 3 course meal with a glass of wine each for £30 each.

Was worrying about the price but came altogether quite cheap. Food was beautiful but where we sat was cold with the doors keep opening. And the wall we were next to kept banging turned out kitchen was right next to us

Salt, restaurant is just fantastic, the food and the staff were excellent. The area where the restaurant is lovely so you can go for a drink afterwards. We were delighted that we chose to go to Salt as it was one of the highlights in for the weekend. I would advise booking in advance in you have a group, as the food is so good, everyone wants to get their bit of Salt !!!!

Salt provided casual dining with a good value pre-theatre menu. Broccoli soup to start was watery and tasteless, spicy wings were much better. Cauliflower pasta main was lovely with a crunchy top and several cheeses. Chicken ballotine was anaemic and quite flavourless despite a pancetta filling. It was served with a potato fondant that lost its delight when reheated to serve and a chicken velouté that had a slimy skin and no depth. When staff were informed, an apology was immediate and a pudding was offered. Both the chocolate peanut butter brownie and sticky toffee pudding were fair. The decaffeinated americano was very poor. If you want plain food, well priced in a great location then Salt is for you. The staff are knowledgeable, fast and friendly. If you know food and cooking, perhaps try somewhere else.

We had excellent food. The service was great and the people serving us were knowledgeable about a food allergy that affected one of us. Lovely wine at reasonable prices. All good, highly recommended and we will be back.

We have eaten here on a number of occasions. Is a small restaurant but has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Good menu covering a selection of both meat and fish dishes. All food was cooked and presented to to a high standards. It's one of those restaurants, when you finish your meal you feel you have had an excellent dining experience at a reasonable cost. Will visit again.

Food was unreal, lamb was the nicest lamb ive ever tasted. Flavours were absolutely beautiful. Sides and sauces were delicious. Only thing that let the restaurant down was that the service seemed a bit cold and generally an unhappy atmosphere. Glasses weren't the cleanest, although it looked like water marks just. The beer wasnt cold either unfortunately. But apart fron these minor complaints i would definitely go back for the food alone, so lovely. Compliments to the chef(s).

Lovely food and drinks, we had the chicken wings which were delicious the sauce was gorgeous, could only be improved by adding a few more wings this would be my only criticism of the night. We had the Ribeye special which was tasty and the hake (I'm not a fish lover but my partners bake looked beautiful). Finished off the evening with some lovely desserts and cocktails... Very yummy! Could eat it all over again, will be back.

Waitress was lovely and service was excellent! She recommended a great wine by the glass to compliment our steaks. Although the steak was slightly over cooked and tough, I was almost moving the table when trying to cut through it. We will be back though, we'll just try other things off the menu :)

Salt Bistro is the perfect place for a pre-theatre supper. The food is delicious, the service attentive (but not intrusive) and the atmosphere relaxed. Highly recommended.

Salt is a straightforward bistro, and does what it does well. There are no surprises, no unexpected flavours and this is fine. My seabass special served on risotto was delicious but I did miss some sauce for the fish. I would also recommend a few more options of wine by the glass. Other than that all went well and service was great.

Our online pre- booked ( in the event not necessary for 12.15pm ) lunch was excellent. This is a very nice place for a leisurely lunch, a very nice restaurant with an interesting and varied menu, all good quality - excellent service and attention. Highly recommend. Brendan

Love this place. Brought my in laws here for a birthday lunch. Caters really well for meat eaters, vegetarians, children and gluten- free people! Menu was great, staff super helpful and friendly. Also, gluten free brownie was so so delicious. Plus lovely bright and quiet setting. Big thumbs up! I'll be back soon..
