San Lorenzo - Gosforth

Excellent food and service. This is one of my favourite restaurants and it never disappoints, lovely decor, menu and helpful staff. Thanks for a lovely evening.

The menu is varied and food is always good, it has a lovely atmosphere and staff are friendly. We have eaten here before and have never been disappointed. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Waiters couldn’t be more attentive. Restaurant has a good atmosphere. Food isn’t exceptional but certainly on most of the menu, it is above average. I must have been impressed sufficiently to keep going back.

Friendly attentive staff throughout but not in your face all the time. Menu is very comprehensive with great variations. The food was delicious from Italian classics to Sunday lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Great food and service at a reasonable price. Even though restaurant was very busy the service was great with friendly staff. House red wine is excellent value.

Great choice on the menu and service friendly and efficient. Restaurant was full but didn’t have to wait for anything . Food delicious and would definitely return . Loved the decor too

Visited on a very quiet late Friday lunchtime. Had the place almost to ourselves, so service was good and so was the food.

Great atmosphere even during the week. Amazing food and excellent service from the friendly staff. I can definitely say this is my favourite restaurant in Gosforth!

nice place, but felt a little ignored. Booked for a birthday celebration but nothing special happened although I saw some else get a small piece of cake / candle. They seemed to forget about us, didn’t even get asked if we wanted a dessert. Friendly staff but overall service not great

This was our second visit to San Lorenzo, both at lunch time. Cozy, comfortable restaurant with good food and good service. Quite quiet at lunchtime. We will be back!

Visited with grandaughter for her birthday, first time since re opened, found it to have a nice atmosphere friendly staff,quick service tasty food at a very reasonable price

I don't like the shredded beef for the bolognaise its not as good as minced beef and did not taste as good although it was on a pizza it was not as nice as it could have been.

Food was lovely, staff great (as always) and fantastic atmosphere in there. My only criticism if I had to would be that the side salad served with the steak could be better. But overall a great restaurant that we always enjoy going to!

An excellent meal, good atmosphere, attentive service and nicely presented food. Starters were bruschetta and mozzarella followed by 2 salmons and one very large pizza. Wine, coffees and bottled water at a total cost of £61 for a group of 3. San Lorenzo is a welcome addition to Gosforth High st, we will return.

No Sunday lunch available as advertised on web page so we were disappointed. It wasnt succesful apparently. Food was ok but not up to usual standard .

Lovely food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had the good value Presto menu at 2 courses for £9.95 and enjoyed our pizzas and delicious chicken risotto. One of our favourite restaurants in the area.

great food and service. Booking app said the restaurant was 'busy' at the time i looked to book, however on entering the restaurant it was barely full. Could have gone earlier if it was not so misleading.

Excellent food and service, what more could you ask for. Childrens make your own pizza is an excellent idea. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Service was Good but Quality of Food has Dropped Dramatically which is such a shame as it was First Class and Second to None we really need to look at what we are Serving Customers and get back to the Beat Again it's not a Hard ask.

Excellent all round. Outstanding food at a very good pace of delivery without robbing the bank. Sauces were rich and unusual. All tables busy for 2 dinner seatings which says something

Great meal, very affordable lunch menu with plenty of choice. I have been going here with family since I was tiny, never fails to impress!

The food is usually better than it was on this last visit but the service is always good. The coffee was very weak on this occasion, too

Fabulous. Very family friendly. The head of house and head waiter were brilliant. Very busy time of year and it was great service , great food and great atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent Food, excellent service the food is superb can’t fault it, this is our favourite restaurant we would defo recommend it delicious Italian even better than it was last time around!!
