Traditional Italian cuisine gets a fresh makeover at Scalini Ristorante e Pizzeria, a local favourite for Trafford’s food lovers and Italophiles. Found on Ashley Road in Altrincham, Scalini Ristorante e Pizzeria sticks to simple ingredients to create cuisine that’s bold and flavourful. With two train connections nearby – Altrincham and Hale stations are just a stone’s throw away from the premises – the restaurant draws in diners from nearby Ashley and Bowgreen.
We called in without a reservation and were welcomed by the team. We had a lovely meal, the service was good and the food very tasty.
Local Italian emigres go out of their way to eat at Trafford’s Scalini Ristorante e Pizzeria, where pizzas and traditional dishes are whipped up from scratch using fresh, premium ingredients, while utilising years of cooking experience. In fact, the Altrincham restaurant on Ashley Road is so beloved that diners visit from as far away as Manchester to taste what’s new. If authenticity is what you’re after, Scalini Ristorante e Pizzeria is worth a visit.
Altrincham’s Scalini Ristorante e Pizzeria features all the Italian dishes you know and love, from calamari fritti to penne arrabiata. We recommend ordering one of Scalini’s signature dishes such as the linguine con vongole in bianco (linguine served with fresh clams, white wine, parsley, and garlic) or filetto piemontese (fillet steak with porcini mushrooms, black truffle and red wine). There’s more where that came from – look up at the mirrors on Scalini’s walls to view the daily specials! Make sure to book ahead when planning to dine at this Trafford Italian hotspot!
