My starter and steak was great. Both of the fillet steaks were marginally overcooked. The amount of food was very good. The service by the oriental waitress was so good and she had a great sense of humour. The only niggling issue was that we were originally seated at a table for 6, which was impossible to sit at if you were on the larger size. Apart from that really good.

When we arrived there was no clear sign to tell you where to check in, I went to the bar but the staff member told me to go to the other lady, quite rude. Gave us the menus and come back a minute later to take our order, hadn’t had a chance to look properly at the menu. Had a bottle of beer and this was room temperature. The starter was supposed to have been chicken wings they were buffalo wings and they were not covered in BBQ Sauce. My pate was out of a packet and the bread was frozen bread. Mains was disappointing, we both had the rib eye and it tasted of nothing. Didn’t even ask us if we wanted sauce when we ordered so had to wait for the peppercorn sauce. The chips were frozen chips. It was 9:45 and we asked for the desert menu. The waiter looked at us and said “you will have to be quick”. The website says they shut at 11!! Better be quick, we arrived at 9pm and had only been there 45 minutes!! Rushed our dessert! Then paid the bill £82!!! Yes £82 and we were in there an hour, absolutely poor service and I would never go back!!

Amazing food. Traditional choice of menu. Service excellent they couldn’t do enough for you. Place was a bit dated but none the less an excellent experience.

Walked out never ate there . Myself and my friends wife wanted half a roast chicken what was advised on the website menu. We travelled down from London for a few days and have eaten there before when we been down . They have no draft beers . Disappointed they changed the menu in shop and not changed it on line .

We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent, as always, well done. Thank you' Lynn

Very busy with no social distancing. Quality of steaks were not good. Being slightly larger than average, no room to move in bench seating.

The service is extremely slow and considering the restaurant was very quiet it shocked me how they would cope in a busier situation. The staff don't seem to understand the drinks menu and what options they have available. We was not made to feel welcome and was sat in a small dark corner and forgotten about, till we had to keep asking for service. The food was okay but nothing amazing. I wouldn't choose the eat here again nor recommend to amy friends/family.

Not been there for a while now. The t bone steak many years ago was second to none! The owner decided to half them, width ways, for either not putting his prices up or what ever, never been the same since as often too dry, well done. Had the sirloin and ribs which were very nice, thick and juicy, ribs were small. Had the prawn and crap cocktail, not much crab and no taste of what I think were shrimp, not prawns. It was ok, no idea of data protection or using the sign in book and pen due to Covid - 19. The book was left with me for a good five mins for me to check all the contacts and numbers, which I didn’t, from that night and previous nights, so beware! They should write your name and number down themselves using their pen and book, not pass it around all the diners. Not many people in the restaurant but a large table of people arrived and sat really near us so we left quicker than intended. It’s always been a bit tight in there when busy. Thought they could have tried to change things in there over the lock down but I believe it’s not been changed in there for possibly 20 years??
