The 'Welcome was very friendly, The service good and all the menu was explained very well which helped us choose delicious courses for our meal.

Excellent food and fantastic atmosphere. Sunday's there is live Greek music and feels like we were on holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and traditional Greek beer (my this)

Had the meze for 2 which contained a starter plate and mains plate - plenty for us both and very nice. Staff were pleasant and efficient.

The food was excellent and plentiful. It had the taste of Greece and was not "Anglicised". The restaurant had a feel of Greece and the ambience was very good. The outside and entrance area do not encourage clients to visit the restaurant but the welcome by the staff once you are inside is very pleasant. The staff are very efficient, amiable and knowledgeable about the dishes and they take pleasure in clients enjoying the Greek experience

Very friendly and helpful staff and food was great. This was the 2nd or 3rd time we have been and we will be looking to go again in the next couple of months.

Great food and hospitality but the restaurant does not publish its Food Hygiene Rating, which is worrying. We enjoyed the early bird menu of two courses plus tea or coffee for £9.95 each. The chicken souvlaki was very good.

Lovely restaurant with gorgeous food. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people who love authentic Greek food. They also have a early bird specials menu 3 courses for £9.95.

Fantastic service from friendly, welcoming staff. The food is authentic Greek, with amazing tastes. You will be left full to the brim and I dare anyone to attempt a pudding after the amount you have just been served. Brilliant place.

It was really good, friendly welcoming staff, quick to serve, quick to remove dirty plates, attentive when needed without pestering you, lovely lovely food, we used a groupon for 4 of us but we dont need a groupon to return, which we shall do, it was great authnentic greek food and plenty of it, it took us right back to crete which we all consider our second home, the food was tasty and plentiful, we cannot praise it enough, it was FAB

We found the food plenty and very tasty , the staff were very friendly and helpful and there was even live entertainment on which was a lady singing Greek songs it made you feel like you could just go on a Greek holiday it was all round a good evening .

tables were very close together, very little privacy. Not that much for your money. it definitely wouldn't be worth paying full price. the food was tasty and the staff pleasant

Simply Greek Tavern in the centre of Newcastle is very authentic. The staff are very nice and the food was fantastic,we had decided to go for a pre-curser meal as we're off to Crete again in a few weeks.The food was fantastic and very authentic if you closed your eyes you were sitting in a taverna on the centre of any greek town.The food was up there with some of the best I've tasted and it was washed down with a couple of Mythos.Will definitly be going back for another meal when we get back off our jolies.

The food was delicious the staff were attentive and friendly the atmosphere created with the live music made me think of the holiday 's spend in Greece. To top it all even did some Greek Dancing. Had a great night will be booking again soon .

Simply Greek was Simply Fantastic. After saying we were going to try this place for a while, we finally did and was not disappointed. The food was fresh and tasty and the atmosphere was just right. Will definitely be back.
