This is a restaurant I go to frequently and always enjoy. As usual the food was excellent though service slightly slower than usual. We'll definitely be going back again.
Good food and a nice atmosphere in a very convenient location. The decor is nice too . The chicken and lamb dishes especially are excellent.
An excellent restaurant. The food was superb and tasted like proper home cooked Persian food. Good service . Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Great food and excellent service. Really enjoyed the selection of food - brilliant vegetarian options. Coffee delicious! Would definitely recommend for a truly unique experience out in London.
Amazing food, just delicious. The stews, the grill feasts and mixed meze starters were perfect. Service was fruendly and efficient, very warm and welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.
Excellent Persian in central London. The food is sublime, the prices reasonable, the service friendly, and the place is actually quiet! Who could ask for more?
Lovely place. Great food. Friendly staff. We ate at 6pm on a Friday night in theatre land and it wasn’t too busy. How good is that.
cosy, quick service, friendly staff, delicious food with generous amount The location of the Resturant is very ideal and attractive to the public and especially to tourist. I strongly recommend Simurgh
Friendly service, delicious food. will be recommending to family and friends.the perfect pre or post theatre dinner. The people next to us shared a starter and a main course. In terms of the amount of food on the plate, probably not a bad idea!
Really nice food. Great service and relaxed atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced for central London - £130 for 4 main courses and 2 bottles of wine!
Lovely food and service - highly recommended to all. Nice atmosphere and decorations too. Easy to access in central London. Intimate setting. Good quality Persian food.
Minced lamb is heavenly! Duck with pomegranate stew had a wonderful blend in the stew, but the duck meat itself was way too strong in flavour. Music was a little overpowering for me. Everything else was satisfactory. I do recommend it if you’re looking for good Persian food!
This is a centrally located venue with nice and helpful staff, tasty and nicely flavoured food and an overall nice ambiance and atmosphere. I recommend the experience.
In general, the food was great! If I dont give 5 star review is because the duck was not so great but the starters and the chicken was great.
A lovely quiet place in Covent Garden full of great food and poetry. Ok
This is a lovely Persian Restaurant. If you want somewhere quiet and authentic then this is a great place to go. The food was delicious and the service was great too. Highly rcommended
Terrific food, excellent decor, friendly staff, and most important of all: peace and quiet in central London. Almost unheard of in the age of the buzz. I love this place.
Tasty, but on the expensive side. Portion sizes are reasonable. If you order a starter, pita bread will cost extra two pounds. Service charge will be applied to your bill.
The food was delicious as ever and the restaurant has lovely authentic decoration. My only criticism is that despite it being a quiet evening I think we were forgotten about after finishing our main course and eventually had to ask to see the dessert menu. However, all in all a very enjoyable experience.
Amzing food, flavoury and tasty. The staff is friendly. From starter to dessert, there is a great selection and their rice and meat is delicious. Best Persian restaurant in London
Second time at Simurgh and was excited as I really enjoyed eating here the first time. Wanted to try the lamb shank but sadly was then told that they had run out and had to re-order (would've appreciated a free drink or other gesture for not telling us before ordering as I was really looking forward to it). Nevertheless my second choice still did the first experience justice. Not too busy when we first arrived which was nice for a Friday evening. I'd definitely recommend trying for a lovely Persian experience.
Hitherto have greatly liked this Persian restaurant, but we found our visit rather disappointing this. Although it was not crowded, getting attention from the staff was difficult. Also there was less food offered for the mezes we ordered and one piece of the flatbread among four was insufficient. Tried the Persian beer and liked it.
A small restaurant but with lovely food. The meal was delicious and the service good. All seven of our party were impressed. Would definitely return to Simurgh.
Very good food and staff welcoming. I booked a table for 19:00 and when I arrived it was quiet but gradually started to fill up.
This was my second visit and it was as good as the first. Staff are polite , warm and welcoming. The food is simple, not in a bad way, authentic, I cook Persian at home and very, very tasty. The aromatics are amazing, the presentation is pleasing and the overall experience is very enjoyable. I will be going back next time I am in London.
There are some foods not good cooking same asthe persian . baghalva is so old, Only tea is good.. service is normal. I hoop so that they must be good learn from teh original persian chef cook
Delicious fragrant food served by delightful staff. We enjoyed the mixed starter to share for three and then grilled meats washed down with perfect Pinot Noir.
Fantastic food & service. Cosy loving restaurant 🤗 Thank you Mohseen for making us feel so welcome! We will dine in again soon & bring friends with us.
Great food at reasonable price in a great atmosphere. We were a group of 4 people and have been all served quickly. Highly recommended !
Food could have been fresher (fresh not dried dill in the rice) given their prices, £18 for any main dish. In this location rents must be sky-high and they seem to survive on footfall but should be better.
This my second visit and I'm still very impressed. Fresh and good food. I'd recommend the feast for 2 for the main. Staff are always ready to help even when the restaurant is busy.
Good central location, good service, interesting, varied, good quality Persian food and it suited our party very well. On the downside, choice of beer limited to one, and music a bit too loud !
The food was delicious and nicely pesented - we particular loved the lamb and lime dish. Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely visit again!
Good food - atmosphere was a bit dull (only a few people in besides us), which can be a bit off putting but it was fairly early on a Monday night. Was a bit put off that the meat was all Halal and there were very few vegetarian options.
Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful food well presented delicious. We had a starter platter to share with extra bread to enjoy the dips at the suggestion of the waiter. Great choice and an opportunity to try several new things. The chicken grill was succulent and the three rices all flavoured delicately to accompany. The lamb and lime was a little disappointing as the meat could have done with cooking a little longer.
I have been to Simurgh five times and it has been a pleasurable experience each time. Delicious food, an unusual setting, excellent service and good value for money.
In principle good food. It seems to me that it used to have more flavour a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the plates where cold so that the food cooled down quickly. Very friendly members of staff.
Very disappointed with the food. Not much effort put into the menu or the dishes (stews). Perhaps the grills are better, but i doubt it.
It was cold in the restaurant so our food got cold really fast. Toilets are awful and dark. The food was not bad actually but small portion compared to price. I had much better and more for cheaper.
The restaurant is located in a good spot and the food is very nice and a good value for money. I would consider going again.
